Soukou no Strain Ep. 3

Hilarious opening to the episode. Trainee Becky is desperately fighting to save Sara from death, only to fail to do so. Which leads to her failing the test and immediately crying as she embraces Sara who is already expressing her discomfort. I laughed so loud that I had to see it again. The overall tests results for the entire class you ask? TOO SLOW! But seriously, I’m glad to see that S-Strain is able to meld in comedy without it feeling out of place. It’s a much needed break from the serious undertones from the first two episodes.

Soukou no Strain Ep. 2

Another great episode of S-Strain. It’s interesting to see Sara three months after the disaster that occurred in the first episode. I really feel bad for her though. The girls at her new station really are making it hard for her to be herself and progress the way she wants to. Specifically, a Isabella who seems to have a Queen-complex about herself.

Soukou no Strain Ep. 1

Soukou no Strain, S-Strain for short, is yet another mecha anime. But does it fall into the pits of the generic and average mecha titles out there? I don’t think so. This was a surprising debut in my opinion and from what I’ve seen I’m liking the direction they’re taking things.
