[Thoughts]

It’s been so long since I’ve watched some good ol’ Negima!?. If I hadn’t encountered computer problems in the past I would’ve been all caught up but then again I would’ve have had gotten a new computer. So, it all works out I guess. Anyways, as for this episode, the mysterious Black Rose Baron is brought up yet again. Of course there are the usual jokes scattered about. They even ripped Enma Ai’s “Ippen Shinde Miru” from Jigoku Shoujo! I loved Ayaka, Mana, and Chizu-nee in this episode as well. Ayaka because of her usual iincho-ish behavior and the lovely Mana because she owned one of those stupid puppet-things. Oh, and Chizu-nee because she’s as subtly ruthless as ever. The battle in this episode wasn’t as intense as some in the past but it was still good, especially since Ayaka and Mana were among the number who were going up against Negi and the other girls. On that note, is it wrong that I wanted Ayaka and Mana to beat them all down?

Oh the breasts! Oh the fanservice!

It’s things like this that make me wonder what I would do if I happened to be trapped on a tropical island with 31 scantily glad girls…. And then I realize I’d probably die from some heart complications.

Impressions:

I’m probably one of the biggest Mana fans out there when it comes to Negi. So truth be told I freaked out when she appeared in this episode. It sucks that it was only for a brief minute or so but still I was glad to see her. Of course she was cleaning her big gun as usual. XD It was hilarious when she denied Yuuna permission to see her gun on the spot though. Also, I need more of Ayaka! Why isn’t she being shown more as well?!She was just so hot and awesome in this episode that you just got to love her.

Impressions:

Nothing much really occured in this episode. Aside from chronicling the journey of the twins to become adults the only things noteworthy plot-wise were the provisional contracts of Fumika and Fuuka and the introduction of Black Rose Baron. The exploration of Library Island brought back some fond memories of the manga for me as well. There were some funny moments like Secchan setting off traps while in awe of some books of her clan and Asuna constantly triggering off traps and falling into them (LOL). But what the hell was up with the library? Was that New York inside of it?! And a desert as well as a tropical island? I was rolling on the floor with laughter. Also, who is Black Rose Baron. They seem much too feminine to be a man or Negi’s father…

IT’S A PLOT TWIST!

Also I loved the very end of the episode. The videgame parody was priceless! XD

Impressions:

I loved this episode despite it being filler-like. I personally don’t think it was since it introduced Sayo’s character and dealt with the class getting to know her. Sayo is so cute. She must’ve been really lonely for all those 40 years before Negi arrived. Negi also gains big points for putting forth the effort of finding out about Sayo and training so that he can learn the spell to see spirits. Even Eva helped out in the end to also everyone else in the class to see Sayo but allow Asakura to be able to capture her image on camera. This episode left me with a big smile on my face at the end when she finally was called upon at rollcall. Yay for Sayo!

Oh! And the Baka Ranger short seems to be back!

Impression:

This. Episode. Was. AWESOME. The reason and the person responsible is simple. Setsuna and her bird/angel wings! I wasn’t expecting her to go into contract with Negi so quickly nor see her Rare card so soon. Asuna, Nodoka, and Konoka did a good job against the possessed Kaede, Chisame, and Yuuna near the end but sadly their contracts ran out of time before they could fully save the trio from the control spell. Thankfully, Setsuna saw the need to toss away her pride and perform a pactio with Negi. After her Rare card activate she totally owned the floor, completely shattering everything around her that was restraining herself and Negi. The troublemaker got sealed and everyone returned to the academy. Though, hilariously, Kaede, Chisame, and Yuuna don’t remember a single thing (which is good for now and for Negi). There were some very funny moments throughtout that had me almost rolling on the floor such as Setsuna’s “indirect kiss” analysis and Negi yet again pulling out hte Suka cards for Asuna, Nodoka, and Konoka who all look disturbingly cute in those forms. Also, Sayo was at the very end of the episode! I know she’s a ghost but she’s adorable. I hope we get to see more of her in the future.

Impressions:

An episode filled with more chupacabra hunting. Man, it’s getting ridiculously funny. But aside from that, a lot of other things occured. Chiu’s two personalities were shown, Setsuna and Konoka have joined up with Negi, Nodoka has explored and understands her powers, and that damn fairy is still causing trouble. But I have to give it to the troublemaker, some hot girls were chosen to be used against Negi. Yuuna, Chisame, and Kaede! The shorts after the episode were weird but funny as usual, especially the one with Asuna. One thing I can’t wait to see next episode, however, is the use of Kaede. If she unleashes her ninja skills now, who’s going to take her? I don’t think Negi knows any martial arts as yet (unless he learned it during the time-skip). The only person who I think is able to do anything to Kaede would be Setsuna and even then I’m doubtful she’d be able to beat her without having trouble. Well, I suppose Asuna can do something to help but she might be busy with either Yuuna or Chisame. Or they may not fight at all but I hope they have a little scuffle.
