Now Playing on Inbou Jukebox: Cross Heart

Single: [Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora OP Single - Cross Heart] | Artist: CooRie | Duration: 4:18 | Rating: 8.5/10

I’m so addicted to this song that it’s not even funny any more. Whenever I watched an episode of Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora, I never found myself wanting to skip the opening just so that I can listen to this song. Why? It’s just so damn catchy.

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora ep. 12 [END]

[Episode 12: The Eternal Kuu]

[Enjoyment Value: 7.5/10]
[Overall series review: 79/100]

[Thoughts]

Three words will probably be left in your mouth after watching this final episode: What the hell? Feel free to swap ‘hell’ with something else if you want but that basically sums up my feelings toward the ending. Kazuya is now apparently just paralyzed and is in the care of Waruteishia. I have no idea what the hell happened to him. Did he paralyze himself with his own technique? But that’s not the confusing part. After Kuu disappears Kyoushirou and Setsuna set off to find her. When they do, Kyoushirou is sporting long hair and Setsuna has apparently regrown the very same hair she cut short. Did I mention that Kuu looked like a 10-year old and suddenly reverted back to her normal self when she ran towards Kyoushirou? What the hell was that?! Was that scene representing Kyoushirou replacing Kazuya in her dreams? Or did that actually take place? If so how long did it take for them to find her? I personally have no idea and it’s almost too confusing to even try to guess but it’s not a bad ending. Definitely note.

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora ep. 11

[Episode 11: The Angel's Gallery]

[Enjoyment Value: 7.5/10]

[Thoughts]

Wow. Ok. That episode was rather…interesting. I’m still slightly confused at exactly what happened. Kazuya’s apparently dead and I have no idea what happened to Himeko or Soijiro. Yeah…um, I doubt Kazuya is dead just yet and the same goes for the other two. Bastille though, still seems to be on the rampage even though Kuu was expelled from it as the core. I have to wonder just what the final episode will be about. Sure, the world still seems to be in danger but who’s going to save it? Probably Kuu, since she hasn’t really done anything as an AA since her identity was found out. I just have a feeling the ending is going to be quite “WTF”. I have no idea whether that’s good or bad but I’ll find out in the next and final episode.

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora Ep. 10

[Episode 10: Angel's Bastille]

[Enjoyment Value: 9.5/10]

[Thoughts]

Kazuya is such a lucky bastard. Whats with him and bathing with all the girls? I must admit though, as much as he is full of himself the guy is undoubtedly awesome/cool. He even managed to subdue Tarlotte (man, she’s loud). As for Kyoushirou, it seems he could see perfectly fine without his glasses. Irrelevant, yes, but I just find it to be slightly silly. Some of the best parts of this episode included the battle between the Steel Angels (nice reference there :D ) and the Morality Squad along with Sojiro and Himiko. Of course, Kyoushirou made a fashionably late entrance that managed to somewhat erase the image of him getting owned by Kazuya in the past two episodes. All in all, this was a totally insane episode coming down to the end. The atmosphere of intensity just can’t be denied no matter how ridiculous some things are in the episode. This is definitely one of the most enjoyable episodes of the entire series.

[Episode 9: Maiden Unfinished]

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10] (These latest episodes have been awesome.)

[Thoughts]

Aww. Mika-sama is dead. >_< Poor girl. I felt she really didn't have to die like that but I suppose there was no escaping it. I must admit though that she looked amazingly beautiful even in death. As for Kazuya, the dude is badass supreme. Though it's a bit sad how he owned Kyoushirou so badly. The revelation of Waruteishia and Kuu's true purposes were a surprise for me though. They were once one with her as the main body and Kuu as Megingjord. As of the end of this episode Kazuya now possesses all of the AA's except for Tarlotte which I'm guessing will be fixed in the next episode. This guy is such a bastard but is too awesome not to like!

[Episode 8: Awaking Time]

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10]

[Thoughts]

Waruteishia is now one of the main reasons I love this series. She’s just too awesome to deny. As for the “WTF” moments in this episode, there were quite a few. Kyoushirou confessing his love to Kuu? Kazuya is alive? HUH? This is quite some heavy stuff. Not only that but Kyoushirou could owned by his nii-sama? LOL. I’m sorry but that scene was too damn funny. It looked like Kazuya almost slapped his entire soul out of his body! So does this mean that Kazuya is now the main antagonist? From what was shown at the end of the episode it definitely seems likely.

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora Ep. 7

[Episode 7: The Wandering Dirge]

[Enjoyment Value: 9/10] (for my favorite AA, Waruteishia, and the stripping/naked Kuu!)

[Thoughts]

Oh hell yes. The fourth Absolute Angel has finally appeared and as such I’ve chosen my favorite AA. It’s Waruteishia! I’ve been wondering what was taking so long since she was so gracefully placed in the opening sequence. Now if only they can give out her name. Aside from that, this episode in some ways made me laugh so hard that I had to pause it. What was Kuu doing? Bringing out her weapon? Absolutely hilarious (I do admit that it was sad as well though)! Oh, and I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her after her little strip show. Well, I suppose I understand why Kyoushirou didn’t want to take advantage of her (not just because she’s an AA either).

Also, is it wrong for me to enjoy this show so much despite it flaws? Dear I say it’s near the top of my list for my favorite winter anime!

[Episode 6: Crossroads at the End of Dreams]

[Enjoyment Value: 8/10]

[Thoughts]

At first when I started the episode, I was wondering just where in the hell they were going with this whole ‘Kuu dreamt the whole thing up’ angle but knew eventually that her friend, Kozue, would somehow say something to remind her of being an Absolute Angel. I thought the bit with Mika was quite interesting because I would’ve never thought she was suffering from so much pain. Apparently she’s being rejected by Kaon because she (Kaon) doesn’t love her? Okay…I guess that makes sense lol. The best part of this episode for me was the battle between Setsuna, Kaon, and the loli catgirl Tarlotte. Such a huge clash of power can’t help but be impressive. I have one thing I’ve been wondering about though, where is the fourth Absolute Angel?

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora Ep. 5

Verdict: 8.5/10

Impressions:

Oh crap. A hugely eventful episode for the win! Firstly, I didn’t realize until now that Mika has heterochromia! She’s gained big points as a favored character in my book. However, the biggest revelation in this episode is that Kuu is an Absolute Angel. Who would’ve thought, eh? I do wonder exactly what her powers are though. Chances are she may be the most powerful of them all since I don’t think she’s even supposed to exist outside of the already established Absolute Angels. And how many times have we seen Setsuna and Kuu bathing together lol?

Kyoushirou to Towa no Sora Ep. 4

Verdict: 8.3/10

Impressions:

Right off the bat, there’s no bathing or kissing in this episode. Disappointing. A little but hey, at least we get some plot advancement and revelations. We find out about Kyoshirou’s brother (who of course looks like Kuu’s prince) and how he saved the world (err…still not sure exactly what he saved it from…). He’s supposedly dead but somehow I doubt that. Unless they show him being blown away then he’s most likely still alive somewhere. Also, what’s with his declaration to destroy all Absolute Angels? Is he that uncaring for Setsuna who obviously waits on his every word before she does something? He’d better rethink his resolve quickly because this episode made his other brother seem more reasonable. Lastly, I still feel bad for Kaon in this episode since she seems to be pretty empty at the moment.
