D.Gray-man ep. 46

[ Episode 46: Illusion of Silver ]
This episode seems to mark the end of Lulubell’s interference with Allen and others progress toward China. It was pretty much the same as the previous episodes with her. She disguised as someone and tricked Allen and Crowley and managed to slow them down which really was her mission in the first place. Now that she has slowed them down significantly we find out that Cross is no longer in China. Sucks for our heroes. Well, at least everyone is together now and that signifies that they will soon arrive at some point in the canon story.

[ Episode 45: A Funny Sort of Mansion ]
This was a fairly decent episode. It focuses on Kanda’s group still traveling together finding people compatible with Innocence. One of the best things of the episode would have to be near the end though. It shows Skin Boric actually on the trail of Tiedoll’s party. This is an indication that the anime team hasn’t totally forgotten about the manga canon story. With all of these things slowly falling into place it seems as if there just may be a second season of D.Gray-man but I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what happens when episode 52 finally arrives.

[ Episode 44: The Servant with the Steel Fans ]
This was an okay episode. Despite Mimi being a Level 2 Akuma I can’t see how she could give anyone much problems. Well, then again Lavi didn’t have his hammer and Lenalee was dreadfully ill, so I suppose even Mimi would be able to partially do something against them like she did in this episode. Well, at least this arc is over and Allen, Lenalee, Lavi, and Krory will join back up soon but that’ll probably be in episode 46 or 47. Next episode is going to focus on Tiedoll’s and Kanda’s group. I’m beginning to wonder just how this series is going to end (hopefully as a first season)….

[ Episode 43: The Wandering Stone Statue ]
Lulubell is one weird person/Noah. In this episode it seems like she doesn’t particularly have any interest in pursuing/killing Allen and the others. She just gives up in the middle of a battle. Perhaps she gets bored easily? Well, whatever the case she managed to delay Allen and Krory yet again at the end of the episode. It seems like Mimi is going to separate from Lulubell in the next episode to deal with Lenalee and Lavi. I wonder if she’s going to be done in any time soon?

[ Episode 42: The Black Cat's Trap ]
So it seems Lulubell can morph into another person as seen by her using Lenalee’s appearance. Her purpose from the beginning was to separate Allen, Lenalee, Lavi, and Krory and by the end of the episode she managed to do just that. My favorite part of this episode has to be when Lenalee and Lulubell (as the fake Lenalee) got into a strangling fight. I don’t know why but that was pretty exciting.
Now it seems like each group will have their own episode as the next one is about Allen and Krory fighting Lulubell’s servant, Mimi, it seems (not directly). I’m sure that the other one (episode 44) will shift to Lavi and Lenalee. I’m wondering where this arc is going to take us though….
D.Gray-man ep. 41

[ Episode 41: A New Assassin ]
Lulubell is so hot. She’s hands-down the most attractive Noah to date. She has a strange ability of turning into a cat and even likes to be pampered (thanks to her personal servant(s). I do wonder what’s up with her shades and her eyes almost always being closed though. I guess it’s just something she likes to do. She didn’t show off her special ability here either so I’ll await to see if she reveals it soon or later. Allen, Lenalee, Lavi, and Krory didn’t have an opportunity to do anything to her in this episode but it seems like she’ll be continuing her chase after them, so we’ll probably get to see her in battle in the next episode or two. Maybe.

[ Episode 40: Rose of Resting Souls ]
And so we’re back to anime-original episodes. Well, I liked this one quite a bit. It didn’t really have that much action to speak about and it had a few flashbacks dealing with the people Allen and Lenalee have meet (and who have died) up to now. There’s one important thing we do get to see in this episode though. We get to meet a female Noah who goes by the name of Lulubell. She’s quite beautiful if you ask me. Second to Lenalee, of course.
D.Gray-man ep. 39

[ Episode 39: Coffin of Silence ]
And so Daisya meets his end at the hands of Tyki. He never had a chance against the guy. Not only that but Tyki wasted two more Exorcists out of three. The one missing is none other than Suman Dark. Just where is he? Is he still alive? Hopefully that’ll be shown soon. This episode was quite emotional though. So many deaths can only have such a saddening effect on the characters, especially Allen and Lenalee. They can only grow stronger knowing that their comrades gave their lives toward defeating the Earl, the Noahs, and Akuma. Next episode seems to be an anime-original episode.

[ Episode 38: Froi Tiedoll ]
So finally some things are picking up manga-0wise, huh? Well, the most exciting part of this episode is hands-down near the end where Daisya bumps into Tyki. Tyki is one scary guy. He turns into a complete psycho when he encounters Exorcists and that’s not a good thing for Daisya at all. Unfortunately he doesn’t have anyone around to help him so you can pretty much guess what will happen to the guy…. Well, Allen and Lenalee are on their way to Barcelona as well but will they make it in time?

[ Episode 37: The Bell of the Person Next Door ~Charity Bell~ ]
A Daisya flashback episode? Okay…that was unexpected. There wasn’t anything particularly good or bad about it, though I did take notice that kid-Daisya looks a bit like Kiba from Naruto. The really interesting parts occurred at the very end of the episode with the revelation that a ton of Akuma are headed to Barcelona where General Tiedoll is located. This is somewhat of an indication that the manga elements are being trickled throughout some of these anime-original episodes.
