Ayakashi Ayashi Ep. 7
Impressions/Thoughts:
This episode continues on with the previous two involving Atl’s ‘friendly’ youi. Yuki and the other Ayakashi are determined to battle with the youi once more in an effort to pull out it’s ayagami. I found it interesting that when Yuki did try to pull it out a mass number of ayagami came forth. My guess is that it’s all of the names different worshipers have called it since the beginning of its existence.

Impressions/Thoughts:
This was a great episode. It was much more action-oriented than the last one and had a great score playing during the battle scenes. Definitely an improvement over the action scenes in the previous episodes. The episode starts off with Yuki, Atl and the others still at the area where Kumo had died in past. However before any of this, we’re shown a glimpse of Atl’s past and what happened to her homeland (the Spaniards invaded them). I’m guessing now that Atl can see Kumo because of her heritage as an Aztec since I wouldn’t put it past her being able to see spirits or gods.

Impressions/Thoughts:
Yuki yet again amazes the audience with his performances. And with a weapon made out of his own name. It’s an unorthodox weapon but at least it took the form of an axe. This episode focuses mainly on the accusations brought forth of Yuki being a murderer. By the way, I found the whole thing about samurais being able to kill lower class people and apologizing afterwards (this all occurred in the Edo period) very interesting. Of course there was a protocol to the act but still I find it interesting how one could’ve been killed for merely disrespecting a samurai (makes me wonder if stepping on their foot would’ve brought such actions).

Ayakashi Ayashi – 02
Episode 2 = awesome. I love the fights in this series but then again this is BONES and it is to be expected. It was nice to see those two youi fighting it out in the beginning of the episode and I hoped to see who would be the victor but it ended prematurely.

Wow…all I can say is wow. This first episode blew me away coming down to the end. I knew Yuki was going to pull something off but I didn’t expect full-pwnage to the Youi already. And what the hell is up with the ugly ass fat men? Were they really like that back then? If so then I really don’t blame the women who killed their husbands in that period because those bastards were just too damn ugly.
Now I can’t wait for episode two or three to be subbed so I can fully understand what’s going on. I don’t understand the whole ‘Ayagami’ thing yet but I sure as hell am looking forward to seeing it more. And by the way…why was that guy dressed so much like a woman around the middle of the episode? He’s probably confused or something is my guess….
