Anime Awards 2007 ni Youkoso! Part 3 ~ ONE MORE FINAL

![]()
This one was a long time in coming but it’s finally here. It originally started off with Youko and I but with the addition of a new writer a few weeks back, Blade has now joined in for the final award entry. Most of our choices might or might not surprise you. We agree on some and differ greatly on others. These were some of the more difficult categories we came across and required some thought which is one factor as to why this entry took so long to come out.
I hope you enjoy this final installment to the Anime Awards 2007 and look forward to 2008’s at the end of the year. Now, jump the cut to view our ONE MORE FINAL!
2 commentsAB.net calls upon your power for its Donation Drive!

AnimeBlogger.net has always been supportive of new writers all over the world to establish their blog for free. As we continue to expand and include new bloggers to the anime blogosphere, we have reached a point where advertising dollars are not enough to pay for the hosting services.Hence, we have decided to appeal for donations to cover the taxes and hosting fees of AnimeBlogger.net. The first goal is to raise US$1600 to cover three months of hosting and the taxes applicable to AnimeBlogger.net. When we have secured that amount, we are looking into adding another server in order to accommodate more writers, which is where the second goal comes in. If we reach our second goal of US$2200, we’ll be able to add another server.
If you are wondering how you can donate to us, there are various ways. First, you can directly donate to the site via Amazon or Paypal from our donations page. Second, you can buy AnimeBlogger.net merchandise. As an incentive to those who donate, everyone who donates more than $5 will be entered to win a prize. Currently we have a sponsor that’s paying for two AnimeBlogger.net shirts for winners. You can also contribute any anime-related items as prizes for the lucky draw.
AnimeBlogger.net needs your help. Everyone is integral to the support of AnimeBlogger.net. Every little bit counts to hit our target, be it $1 or $100. You will make a difference. Thank you and please continue to explore our anime blogging community!
We here at AB.net are in need of your assistance to keep us alive and kicking. As such please help us spread the word by linking back either to this post or any of the many other ones about the Donation Drive. Even if you can only afford $1 it will be more than appreciated. Any level of monetary support would be welcome to help us continue being hosted and able to share our thoughts and opinions on the latest (and retro) anime, manga, and other related topics. ^__^
3 commentsAnime Awards 2007 ni Youkoso! Part 2 ~ Black Blood Days

![]()
Beyond the genre and even the title there are the things that form a show as a whole. There’s the story, the characters, the seiyuu, and music. As a result of those there are certain shows we remember because they left a big impression on us for various reasons. It could be because someone died in a spectacular way or because we were introduced to one of the greatest douchebags known to man (okay, at least in anime/manga history). Whatever the element, we hold dear to us our favorite characters and moments and either smile, frown, or shake our heads at some of the shocks and surprises that blindsided us. That is a flash of what we’ll be discussing here in Part 2: The Black Blood Days.
Like last time there will be spoilers ahead. You have been warned.
Blurring the Conspiracy
Blade joins the Conspiracy!

Hello everyone, name’s Blade and I’ll be joining Kita ze inbou from this day and on to make sure 2008 is going to be a great year for all of us!I am just your ordinary 21-year-old dork, you can find more of my kind around your local book store in the manga section looking for some harem… I have been watching anime since the early days of Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z (which was around the year 2000) and it went on as I started to watch more stuff like Sonic X and Yu-Gi-Oh!. It was around 2004 when I finally started to become a serious anime watcher when I discovered Naruto. The show was around episode 68 at the time so I had some catching up to do, but I found myself glued to the screen from beginning to end. The experience was so fun, it’s as disappointing as Naruto Shippuuden has been to me up until now.

This year has been an interesting one for anime. Some may say that it was one of the worst and others would beg to differ. I don’t think I fall into either bunch but rather I was simply on cruise control for most of the year just enjoying show after show that came out. I had many experiences over the past twelve months that left me in various states. I laughed, cried, face-palmed, groaned, sighed in frustration, stared questioningly, cheered and shouted, and threw verbal threats at many of the anime I’ve seen in 2007. Now here on the last day I’ve come to look back on everything and to think about which shows deserve end-of-the-year recognition.
Therefore, I’m glad to announce the 1st Anime Awards ni Youkoso! that myself and Youko will be hosting. We’ll be discussing various shows that came throughout the year. Among those discussions will be highlighting our best and favored shows and perhaps even the utter fail and worse of the year. You’ll have to keep reading to find out.
Oh yeah, and don’t forget that these are our personal opinions on what we’ve watched and completed. So we know that some will agree or disagree. There may also be spoilers. So, don’t have a fit if something you like didn’t win, ‘kay? ^__^
And lastly, we wish everyone a Happy New Year 2008!!
3 commentsMerry Christmas from KZI!

It’s that time of the year again and I’m glad to be alive to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS (and a HAPPY HOLIDAYS) again. The day has just arrived here but I’m sure some were already enjoying Christmas way before my timezone. I hope everyone enjoys the dinners and presents they’ll all be receiving. ^_^
6 commentsOne Year Older! One Year Wiser!?

It is on this day one year ago that Kita ze Inbou! was born. Blogging was rather new to me when I first formed this blog with my co-writers (one who retired quite early) but as I look back I can see we’ve come a long way. So, I’d like to take this time to thank all of the readers who stop by whether they choose to comment or not. I know you’ve had to put up with a lot from me but I think I’ve learned from my mistakes. I’d like to thank my co-writers as well because without their help I wouldn’t have been able to come up with such a wonderful name for the blog, among other things. As such, I (and Youko) would like to hear from you, KZI fans, lurkers, readers. What have we done well? What didn’t we do well? What would you like to see more of? Editorials? Manga reviews? News? Analyses? We’d love to hear your thoughts so don’t be shy, drop a comment or two.
24 commentsAnnoying Things and Delays

Kyon best portrays the way I feel right now.
So it seems my PC has up and died on me and with it my subbed and raw episodes, screenshots, mp3s and such. That means that there may be delays in my entries for the next week or so. I’m still missing some necessary tools so it also depends on if I’m able to get copies of those to use on my substitute PC or laptop.
As for what happened with my PC, the thing just refused to turn on after a power outage early Friday morning. Actually, before that incident occurred my computer was already in a state in which I couldn’t risk turning it off because it took abnormal amounts of time to get it to turn back on or even boot up. Now it doesn’t turn on at all and I suspect it’s the power source that has died, I think.
All in all, this sucks. Currently I can’t even watch anything but I’m trying to solve that problem as I type this. So during the upcoming week a few entries will most likely be late unless I get my PC fixed sooner than I expect it to be. Hopefully I’ll be able to update the current situation tomorrow and any other day I feel like it.
3 commentsNew Layout and stuff

As you can see I’ve been playing around with the layout for the past few days. Finally I’ve found something that suits the style of bloggingn that I want to adopt. This new layout (fspring w/widgets) allows for the types of previews and image sizes that I’ve been wanting for a while. Some things are still in editing but this is pretty much the new layout for KZI. Let me know what you think about it and if the font color (dark blue) should be something else.
EDIT: I’ve made a new banner for the site. I’d like your thoughts on the text placement.
Happy New Year Ya’ll!!!

Happy new year everyone! Well it just hit 12 midnight here and so it’s officially 2007!
Right now I’m currently playing Xenosaga III and probably will be for most of the day until I beat it. I don’t have much else to do so I’ll probably have some episode entries up later. So yeah, this is the first post of the 2007 and I look forward to continue blogging all the things that interest me as the year progresses.
