Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

The previously announced and much anticipated Misaka Mikoto gaiden anime, entitled “A Certain Scientific Railgun” (or something to that effect) has been dated with an unexpectedly early release, surprising fans.

The anime will begin airing in October 2009; length is not mentioned, but the addition of a variety of thus far unseen characters is. Fans are most pleased, as a 2010 release had been feared.

I know To Aru Majutsu no Index has been somewhat blogged here at KzI. And of course, if you’ve finished the anime it’s obvious a second season is imminent. But to many’s surprise, we get a biribiri spinoff instead. Being my favorite character of the show, this was great news to hear. A real second season may have been put off for now, but let’s be honest here. Aren’t we all watching this show for Mikoto? Unless you’re an Index fan.. And Touma being cast off as a side character isn’t that bad. I know we will all miss his constant preaching and walls of texts, but that’s something we’ll just have to learn to live without. (I know he’s the main character and has some life changing words to say, but he really needs to calm down there).

Anyways.. for fans of the show, Fall couldn’t get here any sooner.
