Dual Shikabane Hime Beam!

Best episode yet! Also, best fight yet! Makina really had a tough time with that Corpse-car and even lost an arm to it. Thanks to Keishi though, she was able to finish it off. The best stuff though was when everyone confronted Akasha. Itsuki was saved by Makina and from there they both went into badass mode with their guns and mowed down Akasha’s Corpses to the awesome opening theme song. Keisei is a really brave soul for jumping right into the mix and toughing that strange box which turned out to be 108 corpses killed by that Corpse-car. Yikes. At least he managed to destroy it thanks to using that bottle of stuff that makes him as strong as a Shikabane temporarily. Of course, we know something like that would have nasty side-effects in the morning. It should also be noted that Oori actually works with another Shikabane/Priest team. Even more intriguing is that she is the only Shikabane allowed to kill humans. I wonder why?

The character development in this episode went pretty far. The bond between Makina and Keisei is highlighted even more, with Oori witnessing just how much they protecting each other for their own reasons. I’m still curious as to what Oori really thinks about that whole situation though. Keisei’s fate is also something I’ve been thinking about for a while. There have been constant death-hints up till now but nothing is concrete yet. If he does die though, would Oori be Makina’s new contracted priest? It certainly would be an interesting development, especially since Oori will probably be needing more of a reason to be around all of the danger going on.
