Shikabane Hime: Aka ep. 4

[ Episode 4: The Cruel Hymn ]
Talk about singing your heart out.

This episode’s Shikabane was a former idol by the name of Osaki Kun. Of course, her will that kept her alive was that of wanting to sing. Her song was both beautiful and sad once you get a better understanding of the lyrics and I thought it was put to great use at the end of the episode where Makina had to take her out. Aside from, we learn a few things. A bit more is revealed about Makina and how her family died. They were murdered and she was lucky (?) enough to be resurrected. She knew Keisei at the time because her father was his senpai. It is also revealed that Shikabane, or at least Makina at this point, heal their wounds by absorbing the life force of their contracted priest. That’s pretty deep stuff if you ask me.
I’m still wondering about Ouri. I think it’s pretty obvious that he is attracted to Makina in some capacity. Otherwise, why would he bother going out of his way to find out about her family and wanting to help her? I’m really interested in how he feels now that he knows his brother and Makina work together. I still want to know what’s up with that damn cat too…
