Even with so much happening, I thought this was the weakest episode so far. I mean even with the Nana-gou blossoming, you never feel a real sense of impending doom. As the weird mushy roots grow and take root of the town, instead of “whoa” I was like “lol ok”. It’s a bit hard to take this show seriously. It shined the most to me with its slice of life moments. The plot-related stuff has been pretty weak so far.
The fights… decent. Lot of owning by the bad guys, not really much to see. I was hoping the nun was going to get in there and kick some ass. Though she just got in one stab and kinda left it at that. The shota god just sat there looking cool. Hope he actually does something later.
It’s funny. Looking at these screenshots, the episode looks pretty damn exciting. Preview for the next doesn’t look too interesting either. At least, Hime got a flashy rainbow spear throughout all of this.

Kotoha should read up on the Aegis Naval Defense system. A 5000 round a minute gattling gun (looks like a line of fire when using phosphurous rounds at night) that tracks and destroys incoming missles would do better than a barely mobile 100 mm artillery piece, even if it’s using flack shells. It probably wouldn’t be that much harder to conjure up.
And yeah, weak episode. Ejin isn’t a compelling villian. He’s playing the “I’m Gin!” card too much and other than that, he’s simply too powerful. The only one that gets any licks in is the Oni-guy and that’s only with cheapshots.
Edit: I am extremely disappointed. Kotoha is apparently a lesbian in the manga. That is very very sad.
lol I found out about the lesbian bit before the show started.
I’ve been waiting for them to pull that out. It doesn’t seem like they will though. Too much stuff to wrap up and develop.
