[ Episode 10: Demon Blade Masamune! Torn Dependent Soul, Singing Heart's Rain? ]

Ho-ho, interesting stuff. Masamune is a name I frequently hear for swords in RPGs and it’s interesting to see that he turned out to be Tsubaki’s brother. It wasn’t that much of a surprise though given the flashback and Tsubaki’s determination. Another point of interest was how the villagers reacted to Black Star’s presence since he hails from the Clan of the Star. They were a family of assassins that did anything for money but were eventually wiped out (aka souls were taken). All except for Black Star apparently. That might be so but it would be interesting if there is at least one other surviving member of the Clan of the Star.

This marked the first episode focused on Black Star and Tsubaki ever since their intro. Well, this was primarily about Tsubaki but we are given a little insight on Black Star’s clan. I wasn’t expecting this Demon Blade to be Tsubaki’s brother but it all made sense at the end. It’s interesting that her brother is on the path of Kishin too. The power of Masamune definitely shows with its ability to possess souls. The episode ends off with Tsubaki and Masamune about to engage in combat, which tells us that the following episode after calls for some awesome fighting.
