[ Episode 8: Witch Medusa! Great Evil Possessing One's Soul? ]

It was really awesome seeing Spirit and Stein come and save Maka. Being the strongest meister and weapon, they really are an excellent team. The fight was real cool, and they were able to stop Crona and Ragnarok. But with all that looks said and done, Medusa shows herself to the group. She may be a witch, but she’s still very pretty; although, she can look really scary at times. Even for Spirit and Stein, she put up a good fight against them but the battle was unfortunately left unfinished.

Maka feels sad for letting Soul get hurt, but I don’t think it’s her fault, so she really shouldn’t put so much blame on herself. I love how the mood suddenly shifts once Black Star entered the fray and messing with Soul while he recovers, only to get a Maka Chop, leaving him in a bed next to Soul. The most unexpected thing, though, is probably the nurse of Shibusen. Rather, I should say “witch doctor,” because that’s who it was: none other than Medusa! Of course, no one else knows about that. Plus, she has Soul Protect on. It’s a sly ruse to get into Shibusen, really.

I’ll get straight to the point: Stein and Deathscythe are AWESOME. I really didn’t expect Stein to bust out the kind of moves that he did but then again he is the strongest master at Shibusen. That Krona kid is pretty messed up and I surely wouldn’t want to be him. His daily-living seems pretty damn painful but I admit it is cool to have blood that turns into a weapon no matter how little of it there is. The witch, Medusa, was pretty cool as well. She didn’t do much but her Soul was massive and her arrow technique seemed quite strong since Stein had sync up with Deathscythe to use Witchhunter.

I thought that Soul would be alright as far as his injury went but with the introduction of a curse there’s no telling what will happen in the future. I was genuinely surprised to see that Medusa is a teacher at Shibusen at the very end of the episode. Man, her Soul Protect must be flawless if she can walk around Shibusen so normally. Things are getting more exciting and I can hardly wait to see more of Medusa and find out about her intentions.
