[ Episode 7: Black Blood of Terror! The Weapon Within Crona? ]

“Kickass” came to mind when throughout watching the latter half or so of this episode. Krona was an unexpected force to be reckoned with and boy did, uh, he…or she kick Maka and Soul’s asses. The whole concept with black blood is pretty awesome as I have thought about it (blood) being used as a power a lot of times, especially in my own writings. Anyway, this fight was a perfect example of knowing when to run away. I don’t think there is any shame in retreating when your life is on the line and Maka somehow couldn’t think of that and as a result Soul got hurt pretty badly. Oh well, they’ll both learn from this fight. A rather painful lesson at that.

This was a great episode, as it introduced a couple of new characters to the story. The new chapter is a lot more darker and serious, now that a witch is involved, along with the presence of Crona and Ragnarok. The whole thing about the black blood sounds like bad news. A drop of blood can be used as a weapon once it solidifies itself at any moment. Maka really was careless and would’ve been long gone if Soul hadn’t protected her.
