Yozakura Quartet ep. 5

[ Episode 5: Waiting Under... ]
The town song better be in the OST.

This episode was better than I thought it would be. There were lulz like Hime teaching the kids the town song and Akina popping up in front of Ao’s skirt. And it got fairly serious with another Enjin and hawt nun encounter and the revelation of Gin being Ao’s brother. Gin looked like he matured a bit since the last flashback we saw him and I’m assuming he knew he was going to get possessed by Enjin beforehand.
One thing that frustrated me was that we weren’t even given an explanation on why Jinta’s mother went missing. It felt like they were too lazy to give a reason or they just didn’t care. I know all this Jinta crap was just used to explore Ao’s powers and past, but the writing here was still pretty bad.
Anyways, this episode was mostly Ao centered and I’m guessing they’re going with the routine of giving an episode to each main character. And Kotoha’s up next. Oh I can never get enough of that electric tongue of hers.

Maids vs. Nuns.
You suppose Ao should be up front with her powers to people in general? Stop hidding like she seems to.
Nah, I can see why she has her reasons for hiding it. The thought of having your mind and memories freely peeked at is pretty scary.
I can understand that, however it’s not like everyone else has to hide their abilities. I think in order for her to use her freely without nawing doubt, she should probably come clean with them. She’d be more effective that way. She confides in people and they confide in return.
Though maybe she should not let everyone know on a general basis.
