Belated, so sue me. But anyway, my decision to blog about this was a bit teeter-tottering. Usually this isn’t my type of show to blog about but I decided to give it a shot, and with the amount of famous seiyuu involved I don’t think that’s something to pass up. Well okay, there was iDOLM@STER, but that was totally a mock-up from Sunrise. You know when you add mecha to an original work it just seems out of hand already. What really caught my eye the first time was that 3/4 of the LS main cast was involved. If only Endou Aya was in it as well, then it would’ve been perfect. Well, I still think there are better shows this season, but this isn’t bad. Anyways, on to the episodes.

[ Episode 1: Rose Madder Colored First Kiss ]

The first thing I got from episode one was… wait, what’s with this scene? Am I watching some other show? The guy was “Agent Nagase” and “Nagase” is the surname of the main character and his sister, so… go figure. But what the hell is up with him? I dunno, it’s already strange enough that he and Yuuhi’s father set up Jun’ichi and Yuuhi together. How convenient that the two kids met before it even happened.

It’s pretty funny how Yuuhi was grateful of Jun’ichi, but right after he took away her first kiss she suddenly took on a different view of him. The fact that she had to start living with him was all too sudden and it looks like it’ll only build up the two, for better or for worse. What was the plan for those two that day anyway? Seems like it all disappeared after the kiss.

[ Episode 2: Rose Madder Colored Approach ]

Seeing Yuuhi’s father creeps me out with his humongous eyes. Don’t adults usually have smaller eyes? It’s fucking creepy. Anyway, the second episode showed just how much a sheltered girl like Yuuhi was living in her wealthy life. Her knack for pushing buttons inside or outside the kitchen was really entertaining to see. Sometimes I can’t help but push buttons too. In my case, it’s usually pushing the buttons of people, pissing them off. So uh, how did she find where Jun’ichi lives? She did storm out the house… In general, it was a good episode to show a bit of Yuuhi’s background, and her sleeping habits are too adorable. We also hear a bit on the Nagases but somehow hearing it from Minato isn’t really convincing.

[ Episode 3: Mystery Colored Scream ]

The other characters get a bit of personality shone this time around. Tsukasa is definitely the type to seek out scandalous news, even during serious situations. That eccentric mind of hers never fails. I always though Karen was a bit stuck-up and status is one of her big aspects but knowing that she easily afraid is an interesting trait to know, seeing as how she’s always giving off an admirable presence. The episode seemed to be nothing but more drama between Jun and Yuuhi.

Nagomi is a strange one. From the looks of it, she’s an investigator or a spy. Maybe she’s the reason why there’s a “Geno Killer” in Jun’ichi? Well, can’t say it was unexpected to find Sugishita-sensei down there with them but it was hilarious how he got kicked out of his unit. So what is the point in showing Jun’ichi’s parents anyway? Do they think they’re Mr. and Mrs. Smith or something? I don’t see the point in it, but I guess later episodes will explain it. So the ED changed this week with a song performed by Nagomi. Interesting sound, though it reminded me of Koi no Minoru Densetsu. Must’ve been the instruments, totally.

[ Episode 4: Indigo Colored Mad Party ]

Awesome, Karen episode. I just love how Jun’ichi was like “hehhh~” every time while Karen explained about her home party. She got really irritated, haha. But it looks like she has some interest towards him. Gotta say it’s nice to see everyone in casual wear. I always did think Jun looked awesome in the first episode. Must be his Geno Killer look. Why did she make them go in casual wear anyway? Everyone else was totally formal. Oh that’s right, to show off her giant closet of great outfits for everyone to wear. Everyone must go praise her now. I freaking laughed when Jun’ichi started in awe at Minato’s attire (and her cleavage) but then turned his head back and sighed heavily once the rest of the girls came. Karen is so funny, getting agitated because a tuna fish took over her show. So what does she do? Put on a Jedi show, that’s what. I laughed harder when she showed up with a lightsaber in hand ready to take out an octopus man. It’s a bit hard to believe Yuuhi would fall for it. Even harder to believe that such a misunderstanding would leave to a fire. But you know, every was saved, so it’s a good ending. I really do hope there’s an onsen one now.

This episode features an ED performed by none other than Katou Emiri. I’m a total Emirin fanatic so you could say I was really grateful for another song from her. It’s a cute song and describes Karen’s character rather well. Wonder what other character image songs will follow.

Wow at the seiyuu cast. I might check this out if I have time. Or maybe next season.

This show isn’t going to devolve into pointless and graphic pyshical violence is it?
