Shikabane Hime: Aka ep. 3
[ Episode 3: Voice of the Night ]
Makina pretending to be a pregnant schoolgirl = LOL.
Hoho, the plot thickens. This episode features a Shikabane that willing followed a human’s will. There was a catch though. That is, the Shikabane was a mother that died while giving birth and while her baby survived, she obviously didn’t. Still, it’s interesting to know that under certain circumstances that a Shikabane can be controlled. We also got a glimpse of Makina’s past where it’s revealed that her family supposedly died in a fire. The way she died isn’t exactly clear yet though. Ouri and that damn cat continue to puzzle me. Just what is that cat? What could it be plotting by continuously leading Ouri to Shikabane incidents? It’s come to a point where I’m half-expecting it to take human form now.
Makina and Ouri sure do bump into each other a lot. I can’t help but keep wondering just what the future holds for those two. For now I’m just enjoying their interaction by the tons. Ouri obviously knows that something isn’t right and that his brother is involved with Shikabane to some degree. When will he be able to confront him about it though? If ever? A lot more characters have been introduced as of this episode and it seems like there are at least two more Shikabane that work alongside of Makina and Minari: a short-haired blonde and a young girl. There’s also that crazy guy who killed the doctor but it’s hard to tell what he is at the moment. It’s quite possible that he’s just a human rather than a Shikabane though.
Next episode will be even more interesting if the preview is to be believed. It seems that the cat (or whoever) is bringing into question just how much Ouri can trust Keisei. There’s no telling what can happen given the events we’ve seen occur so far.

Another creepy episode. Yeah it was fun seeing Makina acting pregant and girly. Kind of cute, even though she is just faking it.
Zombies! I like Nagi’s take on the living and the dead. We’d kick all their dead butts.
Who was that weird girl hanging out with Rika and Keisei? I found it odd that Makina reacted at all to getting some shikabane cells injected.
@Kabitzin: I guess she was another Shikabane. I can’t imagine why else she’d be there at the moment.
As for what was up with Makina when she got injected…my first guess was that she was reacting to the information the doctor blurted out rather than the injection itself.
Anybody know who voices the cat? Sounds pretty familiar to me.
