I really had no idea what I was getting myself into when I decided to pick up this series. Sure, I could’ve researched and get into the visual novel before it aired but I preferred going into it fresh. That and I had other things to do. That said, I didn’t expect a lot of the things I saw in the episode. Taku is pretty damn sad at the moment. Seriously, even Satou eclipses this guy when it comes to being a human/man. His delusions are pretty wild too and I imagine they must be due to some mental illness. The stuff he sees isn’t really normal but they sure are awesome, particularly when Yua (the girl who suddenly got interested in him) was standing across the street from him and went total psycho. His obsession with the 2D over 3D is pretty messed up but I imagine almost anyone would turn out like that if they did what he does every day without going outside and interacting with others. Well, I can’t say he’s totally out of reach yet though since he seemed to be getting along well enough with Yua. I stress the ‘seemed’ though.
Moving along to other, more interesting characters, I’ve already taken a liking to Yua, Rimi (the pink-haired girl and the lead female), and Taku’s sister. Yua seems to be a normal third-year girl with interest in anime/manga/games/etc. but I’m pretty sure there’s something bit “off” with her. That’ll be revealed in due time no doubt. Taku’s sister is the norm of younger sister-type characters who are protective of their older brothers (I’m surprised he doesn’t have a slight bit of sister-complex). Then, there is Rimi…the girl who was seen driving daggers into a body in an alley. Not only that, but we see her in the prologue holding some type of blade against Taku’s chest and kissing him. “What the hell is with this girl?” is the first type of question that comes to mind when I think about her. How does she know Taku outside of class? Apparently he didn’t realize she was in his class but then again he has been noted to attend classes at the bare minimum required. I’m going to enjoy seeing how all of the characters interact and I want to see how the New Gen incidents turn out.
Overall, I’m pretty excited to find out more about Rimi and the plot in general. I’m not sure where this will go but I really like what I’ve seen so far. Oh, and the “Save game” prompt at the end of the episode was freaking awesome. I hope it continues throughout the series.

If I had to describe this in one way, it’s almost like NHK + Higurashi. You’ve got your wimpy character Takumi, who lives in… what the hell do you call this thing? It’s like, worse than a shack; it’s a freakin’ box on top of a building or something. What’s up with that anyway? Did he emancipate himself just to live on his own and be with his fictional characters? He has it worse than Satou, who dropped out of college. But this kid is still in school, but people see him like air, or so he says. He’s even lucky he has a sister to look after him, but wow, this guy is not healthy.
Were all the things he saw delusions? Well yes. What about the murder images from Shibuya? Hmm… that might be different. The story behind that is what will be the main point of interest in the show. He ain’t gonna have Noise to deal with in this district. Seems like the girls will be more dangerous, so he better up his game or he’ll fail and face erasure. I think Takumi plays too many eroge because he keeps saying how certain situations were like that. It’s true, Yua seemed to fake to me. What’s her real motive? On second thought, this feels like it’ll have Suicide Circle elements too.
