Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Bakuman ch. 9

[ Page 9: Conditions and Going to Tokyo ]

Eiji is one hilarious fellow. He might sound full of himself and seems a bit nutty, but I think his goal stands out beyond most people. The power to end any manga he hates… what could that be? I certainly would love to see that happening within the story later. Can Moritaka and Akito top this guy though?

Seeing Moritaka and Azuki interact with each other through writing was interesting. He got to learn more about her just by writing down questions. It looks like they’ll continue this for now as long as they’re seated next to each other, but Azuki gives Moritaka her e-mail address so I guess they now have contact with each other outside school.

+ Moritaka and Azuki’s interaction, Eiji and his goal
- The Shujin/Saiko combo need to be working harder on their manga!

Saiko and Azuki are so damn cute together. There’s nothing more like sitting next to the girl you like in class and it’s even more awesome when you can talk to her so freely, whether it’s verbally or writing notes to each other. I think this chapter clearly showed just how much Azuki likes Saiko due to her crying when he asked her if they really had to wait until their dreams were achieved to be together. Quite an emotional moment but they’re determined to keep their promise. He managed to net her e-mail which is pretty sweet, though.

As for Eiji, that dude is hilarious but he’s gotta go down. Saiko and Shujin are going to have to find a way to topple this guy if they want to get published, especially now that he’s being moved to Tokyo and is pretty much closer to being in Jump than they are at the moment.

Wow, how did I miss someone blogging Bakuman?

Just in a general sense: do you guys like Bakuman? For some reason, I think it can be really boring at times compared to some of the other stuff I’m reading right now, but I can’t seem to let go of it. It’s like I’m waiting for something big to happen, like in Death Note.

As for Eiji, he’s immature and doesn’t realize how much work it probably takes for mangakas to do what they do.
