CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 ep. 17

[ Turn 17: The taste of earth]

Heh. I’m not surprised that Lelouch and Suzaku’s meeting turned sour. I was waiting for the whole thing to fall apart since the very start to be honest. Well, unless something happens at the very end, this seems like it’ll be the last falling out those two will have. Lelouch seemed to be really hurt by the betrayal, even though it wasn’t Suzaku’s fault. What happened after that was freaking hilarious though, with Guilford saving Lelouch because he was Geass’d to think that Lelouch is Cornelia (with a certain pose). I guess that is a potential death flag for him.
According to Schneizel, he has all the cards in his hand now. I have no idea what the hell that means but we’ll probably see it in the next few episodes. It seems like he never heard of Geass until now so…I don’t know how he expects to challenge it. Charles is up and about though I don’t think he’s going to show up in Japan. Villetta is safe and sound while Diethard is using her to keep Ogi in check. Hmm. It probably won’t end well for those two but it would be nice if they got a chance to work things out. Nina is running around more and more than she needs to. Does she want to die?
Most of all, I’m really concerned about Nunnally through all of this. Her safety is on extremely rocky ground and it looks like Rolo and Sayoko are charged to rescue her (since the deal with Suzaku turned bad). There’s no telling what’ll happen there since Rolo and his unstable ass is sort of unpredictable. I doubt that he’d hurt Nunnally though since I’m sure Lelouch wouldn’t hesitate to kill him if he did. Kallen just might be able to escape if Gino lets her out of her, uh, capsule-cage. I’d love to see her return to the battlefield as soon as possible and it could happen during the Tokyo Settlement battle. I can barely contain my excitement for the next few episodes with the way things are going. It’s hard to believe that there are still eight more episodes to go!

Bwahahaha. I simply loved this episode to bits. The highlight was the unexpected but very awesome Guilford moment. Ain’t that a trip. Brilliant work there I gotta say. Anyways, so we’ve now seen Luciano in action and man, he’s one sick psychopath, but I must admit, I do like him for that. Too bad he’s probably gonna die later but he deserves it. Speaking of Knights of Rounds, I wonder what was Gino up to talking to Kallen. Is this some sort of foreshadowing of future events or something? Other points of interest were C.C. staring at her bandage like it’s a wedding ring, Knight of One and Xingke, plus it looks like Kallen’s breasts have expanded since last episode. Things look really awesome towards the end. I love how everyone’s stoked for that battle at Tokyo. Judging from the preview though, this is NOT gonna end up very well. C’mon, Tamaki! Ah, and looks like we finally get to see the next (and hopefully last) upgrade for Lancelot.
