CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 ep. 15

[ Turn 15: World of C]

This episode sort of damaged my brain. There was so much things inside that I had to pause a few times to digest it all. The main highlight of this episode was definitely C.C. though. We’re shown a lot of her past such as how she came to be who she is now and that she once possessed Geass. I didn’t see the whole replacement thing coming though. It is interesting that it seems as if she does not wish for Lelouch to replace her. Is that evidence that perhaps she has discovered that love she could never find in her past? Perhaps, but things took a twist that was pretty hilarious despite the serious mood at the end. That is, C.C. reverting to an extremely shy and servant-like girl. Oh boy, Lelouch is going to have his trouble laid out for him.
The Villetta/Ougi situation has gotten even more intense now that they both seemed to have abandoned their organizations. I can’t imagine what will happen to them now since I’m sure Sayoko is going to report to Lelouch or Diethard about her findings. Suzaku also managed to stop himself from using Refrain on Kallen. I suppose that makes him a bit less of a douche but not by much. Still, I want to see Kallen kick his ass anyway.
This episode also showed us that Schneizel can walk up to the frontlines at any point now that Nina has completed her bomb. The OP/ED themes have strongly suggested that he, Lelouch, and Charles are the three major players in Geass so it’ll be interesting to see how and when he’ll play his hand.

… WTF was that? Oh no, oh no, this ain’t right. I’ve never gave a more puzzling thought than anything ever before. I don’t think Higurashi was more confusing than this, nor did it make me got WTF in the beginning and the ending. Well okay, it was pretty damn obvious Charles didn’t die right away but what happened next just went completely unorthodox for the most part. It’s like Lelouch got hit with some epilepsy.
Now the good thing is we finally got more background info on C.C.. Before I had thought she only was give the power to give a person Geass through a contract but it looks like she went through the same thing. She was given Geass when she was only a child! I have no idea what was going on with that nun but it looks like C.C. was caught in the mix and thereby garnered her the scar. Interestingly enough, as C.C. got older she gained the second Geass eye. I wonder how that actually happens. I can’t believe that C.C.’s true wish is to “die.” Sure enough, it seems that it wasn’t really her actual wish. It’s still something I’m wondering about. And still no real name? Charles now has V.V.’s “code” whatever that means, but I guess that meant he’s gained immortality. Well that’s good news.
In the midst of all things more crazy shit is happening between C.C. and Charles and by the time it ends, the pact between Lelouch and C.C. seems to have taken a side effect. WTF have you done with my C.C.?! This isn’t making any sense…
