[ Turn 08: The Miracle of a Million]

GENIUS. That’s what this entire episode is about. I know that Lelouch is brilliant with his plans but this one just blew me out of the water. Him wanting an exile for himself was pretty odd and had me thinking the whole time on what his true intentions were. Never did I expect that the order to exile Zero would lead to the exile of one million people. Or more accurately, one million Zero’s (which included a dog)! I expect that something will happen now that they’re exiled and leaving Area 11 though. The Villetta and Ougi interaction was interesting but was too short-lived. Nina’s crazy ass is still around and apparently still trying to build a nuke, this time for Schneizel. Who knows what the hell he plans on doing with that but something is likely to be blown to kingdom come near the end of the series.

As expected, Zero showcased another one of his plans on outwitting the enemy. Of course, I never would have expected a million Zeroes. Actually, it’s pretty amazing how he was able to get a million of those suits at all. That’s some high quality manufacturing. Either that or someone’s got godly crafting skills. I just wonder how they handled exiling all one million of them. No wait, I’m surprised there were even a million of them left. Go figure.

An important aspect we see this episode is Zero questioning to Suzaku what it means to be Japanese. As Suzaku says, it’s their hearts. I think the little talk they had opened something up for Suzaku. He did seem like he was getting it straight finally but that’s just me, though I guess you got to give him credit for overlooking all one million of them. He certainly has a strong will to follow Nunnally and Euphy’s words. Now I’ve got a question of my own, Suzaku. What does it mean to be a masochist?
