CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 ep. 6

[ Turn 06: Pacific Ocean Surprise Attack Operation ]

Lots of catching up to do so I’ll be brief (or try to). It was painful watching Lelouch struggle in thinking what to do about Nunnally. His beloved little sister, the one who he started his rebellion for, is now being used by Brittannia and he can’t just plainly reveal himself as Lelouch from Zero’s guise. It sucked hard that he couldn’t even punch the hell out of Suzaku for trying to use Nunnally against him earlier in the episode as well. After all this, I’m not sure what he’s going to do. After pretty much screaming Nunnally’s name at the very top of his lungs, I think I’m pretty sure that his plans and/or thoughts are wavering beyond comprehension. What will Lelouch do next?
As for the rest of the episode, I loved Lakshata’s scenes during the second half. She’s such an awesome character and I love her personality and dialogue. Seeing her new work for Kallen’s Guren in motion was amazing and I can’t wait to see what else she cooks up. Kallen was pretty awesome as well. It’s not an easy feat being able to disable two Knights of the Round and beat the hell out of the other. Here’s hoping she gets even better as the series progresses.

Needless to say, another great episode. So what twists and turns did we learn today? Plenty much, but in Geass’ case, there’s always something extraordinary. This week we find out just how Lelouch bailed. How did he? Rolo comes to the rescue (a very very close call) so Lelouch is a very lucky guy. I don’t think he’ll have too many chances with these encounters (let alone, very low tricks) like that again if this keeps happening to him.
I’d say the biggest highlight for me is the KF fights. Lancelot returns newly equipped along with Guren and its destructive new arsenal. Not only them but the Rounds’ Frames, Tristan and Mordred are really something else. And with the Frames’ return, we got some Lloyd/Lakshata screen time! All’s going according to plan as Lelouch gets closer to Nunnally on the airship. Bad news, as always, come for the Black Knights but this one was kinda unexpected. Nunnally wants to continue where Euphie left off and establish the special administration zone, asking Zero to join her. Her statement leaves him totally speechless, not knowing what he should do. This is possibly the first time we hear Nunnally speak her thoughts too, so I found that to be interesting. Time is left unused as now the airship is near sinking. The Frames come rushing in, escorting their respective person. As Lancelot flies off with Nunnally, Zero, after Nunnally is taken away from him again, calls out with all his might Nunnally’s name… Okay, wow. Just… wow.
