[ Episode 60: Wheel of Fortune ]

I laughed quite a few times during this episode. The whole conflict between Naruto and Fuuka had me glued to the screen because I didn’t know if she wanted to kill Naruto or make-out with him raw and uncensored. If I had a choice I’d go with the latter option, of course. Hell, we even got to see a glimpse of Naruto’s old trickster days when he let her kiss one of his clones and then proceeded to taunt her with more clones. Of course, pissing her off led to her showing some of her real power which is pretty interesting since she seems to have all (or almost all) of the elements at her disposal.

I’m guessing that “Kiss of Death” allows her to gain a person’s nature. Or something like that anyways. Sai was pretty good in this episode as well and brought even more comedy to the plate near the end when he met up with Sakura. Speaking of which, I’m not afraid of needles but I’ll be damned if I didn’t shout out like Sai did when Sakura stuck that needle in his arm so hard lol.

Next episode seems like it’ll be even better and Sora is also confronting the leader of the group (which from the OP sequence will probably show us how he comes to join them or otherwise).

Okay, this is better. The only problem I had with this episode is the fact the background were a little on the drab side and the pace was slow, but other than it stood out a lot more than last week’s episode. The first five minutes with Naruto and Fuuka were some of the funniest scenes in Shippuuden, as she tries to seduce him. I have to say it was somewhat surprising her ending up kissing him. Sure it was just a clone, but I never would have expected the animation team to do that, and it was a sloppy one!

Sai and Fuen’s encounter was a little less exciting and was involving more traps than actual jutsus. Because Fuen controls the blueprint from afar he never came to contact with Sai so it wasn’t very eventful up until the end when Sai managed to locate him. I’ll be waiting for next week episode that seems more interesting as Sora encounters Furido and apparently the two have something in common…
