[ Episode 59: A New Enemy ]

Another lovely episode of Shippuuden. I can’t stress how much I’ve been enjoying these episodes over the canon stuff. Perhaps it’s because this arc is more reminiscent of the old missions of Part 1 which Part 2 has seriously been lacking. The original antagonists aren’t lame in design or techniques either compared to those of the past. They placed quite a bit of effort into these guys. Their techniques are pretty damn sweet. You’ve got one guy who draws (apparently) geographical maps and another who can make those maps come to life. Fuuka, the lady of the group can apparently move through solid matter if the preview is any indication though it might be that she can just move through Earth/Rock.

Things are looking very interesting and (I don’t say this much for Shippuuden) I’m really looking forward to more of this arc. The match-ups probably won’t be the last but it’ll be interesting to see how Sai deals with someone who draws like him and well, as for Naruto, he’ll finally be able to go up against a girl. But it looks like he’s going to lose to her overwhelming sexiness. ^^

Also, I included a screenshot with subs on it on purpose. Why? There was no other decent screen out of Fuuka and there was no way I wasn’t capturing her beauty.

Transvestites. Great. The moment I saw the new opening about 2 months ago, I was wondering why the last girl of the three enemies they shown had a weird design. Now it makes sense: IT’S A GUY. I only found that out when I read it’s Yuji Ueda (Takeshi\Brock from Pokemon and Kimbley from Fullmetal Alchemist) voicing “it”.

Other than that, I have to say this is the worst episode of Shippuuden thus far since the OP change mainly because the pace was slow and it felt nothing happened rather than the main enemies changing the terrain and splitting our heroes. I should call them the “Fuus” only because each of their name starts with Fuu. Furido, the white haired one, hasn’t show any of his abilities so far, but we got a reasonable amount what Fuudo and Fuuen can do. Fuuka, the sexy lady, will be shown next episode, and I have to give Yuu Asakawa credit for sounding a lot menacing that usual. It’s going to be interesting to see girl-ignorant Naruto blushing after Fuuka’s seductive kiss.

Yeah I have been talking about the future rather than this episode, but that’s the result when the episode was boring.
