Soul Calibur IV – New Character Designed by Oh! Great
![]()
Oh oh! I SO called it! In my last SC post I expressed how I wanted O!G to be the next mangaka to create a character for SCIV and boy did my dreams come true! The newest character added to the roster is Ashlotte. The only tidbits available so far is that she is a robot of sorts and is out to execute Astaroth. I hope she succeeds because I never liked that guy to begin with anyways. Ashlotte’s design is quite exquisite and tantalizing to the eyes of those who love complex dresses and beautiful hair designs. I’m not really surprised that O!G drew her the way he did since he does have a few petite characters in his Tenjo Tenge and Air Gear manga. She’s looking pretty damn strong too with that battle axe in hand. I’m pretty sure that thing ways at least two or three times what she does. I have to wonder now, is this the last character to be created by a Japanese artist? Or is there still more to come? I can’t imagine who would be next if there was. Kubo Tite? Oda?

“Welcome to the 16th century Golemny!”
A very unique design I have to say.
So these aren’t “Offical” characters, but one time unlockables for IV? Will they be in the NA version, since I know we’re getting Vader and Yoda depending upon which system you have.
They’re guest/bonus characters. Though I have a feeling that in the future they may become ‘official’ or mainstays just like Amy has become.
And yeah they’ll be in all versions of the game everywhere around the world.
*sigh* Frills, ribbons, and iron. I love gynoids. Oh! Great should consider a more gothic setting for his next series. He obviously knows what to put into the character designs.
Pretty spiffy design. I wonder what was going through the the Soul team’s mind getting all these artists for characters.
I think it’s a brilliant marketing move.
They certainly make more sense than Star Wars characters at least, not that I don’t like them in there. Supposedly the story will explain why their lightsabers aren’t slicing through everyone’s weapons.
If swords don’t cut people, why should lightsabers cut swords?
Lightsabers are beyond swords so the inclusion of Vader and Yoda was out of place to begin with.

Even Voldo’s mighty codpiece is no match for Ashlotte!
I’ve always thought Voldo was epic FAIL.
He’s…an aquired taste. He’s definiently living proof that sexy is not necessarily a good thing.
