Soul Calibur IV - New Character Designed by Gantz’s Oku

OH MY. I never thought that we’d be getting another character designed by a mangaka. Though I can’t tell you just how wide my eyes went when I first saw the news that Oku designed a new character for Soul Calibur IV. The new character’s name is Shura and she will be a rival to Ivy. It’s not yet known just why they will be rivals but I expect to hear a little about it as the release date approaches. This info, of course, comes from good ol’ Famitsu just like last time. Shura’s design is pretty damn attractive though I don’t expect any less coming from Oku whose female designs are among the best in the industry in my opinion. Shura is now the third character that has been created by a famous Japanese mangaka just like Anglo Fear (Yoshizaki Mine; Keroro Gunso) and Scheherazade (Izubuchi Yukata; RahXephon). I wonder, is there going to be another new character made by a famous mangaka? If so, then I think they should look up Oh Great!.

I’m more impressed with the new Talim. It’s like they asked themselves “How do we make her as cute as possible?” And the answer was see-through pants, a hat with bells on it, and PIGTAILS.

Excuse me wesley um are you a fan of talim?.If so your not the only one.You are right though and I see where your coming from.Unlike Talim she dosn’t have big boobs like the others.In my opinion most of the females have little clothing.Sad but true.

I’m about as big a fan of Talim you can be without being a real big fan of the series. And I think you may have misunderstood. I think Talim’s new design is the best one out of all the characters in the series.

I pretty much have to agree. I was slightly disappointed with her look in III so this is a great improvement.

I felt they took out some of her moveset and simply forgot to put it back in for III. They didn’t just nerf her, they made her actually unfun to use. It wasn’t intentional, it just sort of happened somewhere along the way.
