Kita ze Inbou! - キタぜ陰謀!

Bleach ep. 166

[ BLEACH #166]

This was an amazing episode. The action, animation, movements, choreography, and music were all excellently done. This is the kind of stuff that is supposed to be done for almost each and every episode of Bleach. Dramatic effects were used appropriately and all the emotions of the characters, especially Orihime, were spot on. I recall this chapter very well and had always wondered how well the animation team would convey it. Well, they certainly did it justice and there wasn’t a single scene I disliked. I particularly loved the scene where Orihime shouted out to Ichigo not to die or get hurt anymore. Her crying face was beautiful (and beautifully drawn) and Ichigo’s reaction was just awesome, especially when he looked at Grimmjow after stopping his attack and told him that he couldn’t receive any more injuries.

Chances are there won’t be another episode of this high quality for a while but nonetheless I look forward to the conclusion of the Ichigo vs. Grimmjow fight which should be next week.
