[ Episode 9: The Little Heroine ]

LOL… Heroine…

I should have expected that after a great episode I’ll notice a decline in quality. I didn’t expect, though, how sharp it went down. So far episode 2 was my least favorite in the series, but I think 9 takes the cake. This episode was so uneventful, I just don’t have much to say.
It centers around Miyu and how Ren is learning how to “treat” her. We also learn that although Miyu has a lot of spare time on her hands, she makes millions by selling her inventions to different investors. Shinra, of course, is mad at Miyu for just slacking, but the two make up rather quickly thanks to the help of Ren. Yume feels ignored once again and the episode ends… That’s about it. Nothing really that stands out… Even Taisa wasn’t around with his kamehamehas or puppets!
I have to say there are two things I did like about the episode: The first is De Niro humping a rice maker, just to show you that egg-shaped robot has personality and was probably the reason why this episode was a little amusing. The second is when Yume is imagining that Miyu gone bad… and then became a rock star. Yeah, I know the writers want to have more chances to add more references and goofiness to make Yume more lovable, but now it’s gone too far that’s it’s not even funny anymore, at least not like episode 6.
Overall, worst episode of the series thus far, but at least it got the cliffhanger part right.
5.5/10
