Doubt chapter 5
What the hell is going on in this manga?! When I first started Doubt a few weeks ago I didn’t know what to expect after seeing a bunch of people wearing rabbit heads. Picking it up revealed to me that it’s actually about a game where players are ‘rabbits’ and must find the ‘wolf’ among themselves before it kills them. The game turns into reality very quickly and the sense of danger skyrockets. Who’s the first person to die? Well I was surprised to see that it was a disabled person (female and with mangled wheelchair and all). I was speechless the moment I saw Rei pinned to the wall with blood all over. It was just totally messed up.
Fast forward to the current chapter and the wolf’s identity is still in question and narrowing down. Who could it be? Rei’s automatically off the list since she’s dead. Eiji is apparently still locked up in one of the rooms. Mitsuki seemingly gets taken out by Haruka who used her wrist-slitting-knife-of-doom on her in the bathroom. So that leaves Haruka, Hajime, and Yuu to find out who the wolf is among them. Who is it? Well, it would seem like the obvious finger is being pointed at Haruka but is it really that simple? Hajime has been pretty quiet compared to the other characters and Yuu doesn’t seem to give off any indication of him being the wolf, especially if you take into account how he was developing a budding friendship with Rei prior to the game starting.
Maybe that’s the twist though. Perhaps Yuu will really turn out to be the wolf? There’s no telling what Haruka is going to do with that knife at his neck though so whether or not he is the wolf I hope he has a plan to get the crazy bitch off of him.
