Better late than never I always say. This manga just started to be scanlated thanks to Gievmoar and So Sexy Scans. Bloody Monday opens with a mysterious woman only known as Orihara Maya obtaining a virus in Russia. The purpose of the virus is yet to be revealed and Maya is a ruthless woman who lets no one leave alive once she’s on the job. The story revolves around a legendary hacker named Falcon. He’s known for helping take down criminals and unveiling dirty laundry but suddenly disappeared. Enter Fujiwara Takagi who is the legendary super hacker Falcon. Takagi finds himself suddenly involved in a mess of violence that is somehow connected to the virus and something called “Bloody Monday”. Maya finds her way to his school and is now his teacher. Only time will tell what will happen between the two as the story progresses.

If you managed to get through that crude summary then I urge you to start reading this immediately. There are only two scanlated chapters out so far (four volumes and ongoing as of this post) but I’m already into this manga quite a bit. I’m particularly interested in Maya’s character (no, not solely because she has huge breasts) as well as Takagi. This current chapter shows that either Maya didn’t come to kill Takagi or she’s going to take her time to observe him before doing so. It’s hard to tell since we’ve only seen her character in two separate situations where she killed both men she was with. Takagi now has to deal with her as an unknown threat and, as of this chapter, figure out what to do now that his father is wanted for a murder he didn’t commit.

I’m just loving how things are flowing so fluidly and there isn’t a stale moment in the first two chapters. Bloody Monday has great potential to transcend to awesome status and hopefully scanlations will come out much faster and more people will pick it up.
