[ Episode 19: Bonds ]

The whole issue between Setsuna and Lockon had me worried for a while. There was no telling what Lockon was going to do but I’m glad that Setsuna said what he had and got his message across. I’m guessing now that Lockon knows who Ali is he too will probably be on the lookout for him since he was the leader of the organization that killed his parents and sister. Still though, that has to be the first time I’ve seen Setsuna smile in this entire series. I was pretty damn shocked to see him like that. Though I’m glad to see that he and Lockon are buddies (or something like that).

The fight between the Setsuna, Lockon, Tieria and the Thrones was sight to see and it was definitely a treat to see Nadleeh again. That fight also revealed that Alejandro is definitely up to no good since we’re shown him smiling quite smugly right before Nadleeh’s Trial System was interrupted. I’d like to know just how much he’s done and how far his influence goes. Is he supporting the Thrones? Is the green-haired guy who smiled behind him also in on his scheme? Is he the person who contacted the powers and is supplying them with what seem to be GN Drives at the end of the episode? For now the answers to all those questions seem to be yes but there may be something slightly different from what I’m thinking.

Oh yes, all the scenes involving Saji and Louise were pretty emotional. It’s quite sad to see them have to separate but that just goes to show you just how much of a bitch life can be. I hope that they get back together some time in the future. Also, what was up with Tieria’s comment about being human? I found that to be pretty odd and a possible suggestion to him either not being entirely human or just a person who doesn’t express his own humanity much.

Well, new mobile suits will be on the run in the next episode and I await to see just what they can do.
