Spice and Wolf ep. 6

[ Episode 6: Wolf and a Silent Farewell ]

Eh. I didn’t really see Chloe playing the bitch card until last episode and this one. I especially thought that when she told those jack-off old farts that accompanied her to kill Lawrence. In any case I absolutely loved it when Horo transformed into her huge wolf form and started kicking ass. I was laughing at how all those men were practically being broken to pieces. Don’t get me started on how she scared Chloe piss-less that she completely passed out. Speaking of her transformation, right before she did transform I had flashbacks of Claymore when after she took some of Lawrence’s blood and her mouth/jaw had started to change. Awesome. :P

This was easily the most exciting episode yet as well for reasons I’ve already stated. At the moment I found it hard for the action and intensity in the past few episodes to be topped later on especially since this series isn’t exactly about that kind of thing but I could be wrong (hopefully). For a moment I was worried that Horo really was going to leave Lawrence behind but couldn’t have been more relieved when he received that invoice since only Horo would have done such a thing to him, at least in my mind anyways. Chloe is shown to be alright at the end of the episode as well and I can only wonder what her role will be in the series from now on, if any, given that she knows what Horo is now and that her and Lawrence are traveling together. Other than that I’m just wondering where Horo and Lawrence will be off to next and what sorts of things will they encounter along the way. ^^

I was expecting the ‘love triangle’ horo-lawrence-Chloe to last longer but it’s all for the better. Really a great show :)

Action-wise, we’ve still got the church that could cause them trouble.

When the church is involved violence isn’t too far behind. :P

Ahah. I too had flashbacks of Claymore. The jaw and mouth structures are strikingly similar. Not to mention the shot of the side of Horo’s face brought Clare to mind instantly.

This is turning out to be a great series. :D

The best thing about Horo’s true form is she’s a very attractive wolf when you get right down to it. I was expecting her to be kind of freaky, maybe even a little monstrous, since she kept emphasising how creatures and humans were always terrified of her, but no, she’s very noble in her appearance. A Proud Wolf.
