Being a manga reader, it was hard for me not to laugh at Nnoitora’s statement about his invulnerable body in this episode. We also get to meet Tesla, Nnoitora’s underling. Even in his anime form I don’t like him. We got to see the start of the fight with Syzael vs. Renji and it was pretty interesting to see Renji’s bankai blown away so easily. There’s a quite a reasonable (?) explanation behind that. Still though, I’m wondering just how far the anime team is going to go with the manga material. Like I’ve mentioned time and time again we’re pretty close to the manga material. I’m guessing that they’ll continue using two chapters or so with stretches to help lengthen the episodes and then there is always the option of taking breaks. At this point I just don’t see how they can insert an anime original arc until after the Hueco Mundo arc is done.

Man, if they put a filler arc right in the middle of Hueco Mundo arc, that would be ridiculous.
The comedy part between Renji and Dondochakka was stretched out a bit, but it wasn’t so bad. I just hope they finish Rukia’s fight soon…
@Anonymous: I’d think they should stretch the HM arc as much as possible then make a filler arc right after. They seem too far gone to do one in the middle of HM now but they could surprise us…
@CP: Hopefully that finishes in the next episode. Or two lol.
