Rosario + Vampire ep. 6

[ Episode 6: The Newspaper club + Vampire ]

Eh, so this episode introduces Ginei. I don’t really like the guy and until I saw this episode I completely forgot he even existed in the series. That just goes to show you how infrequent his appearances are in the manga. The only ‘memorable’ thing in my mind of him is kicking his ass kicked by True Moka and that’s about it. This episode reminded me just how dumb Tsukune could be though. Who in their right mind would peek inside a window just because someone told them to for the purpose of repairing a relationship? Oh right, an idiot. :D The True Moka vs. Werewolf Ginei fight was the best so far if you ask me despite it feeling a bit short.

Rosario + Vampire ep. 5

[ Episode 5: School Swimsuit + Vampire ]

Ah yes I recall the chapter this was based on. However it is heavily altered even though the basic framework is still intact. That is, Tsukune getting caught by Tamao and Moka having to come and save him despite being weak against water. The additions were pretty much the entire competition and from what I can remember Kurumu and Yukari weren’t present. Though I think that them being added was a good thing, especially Kurumu since she gets to show off her body in a swimsuit. :P The fight was altered as well but it was all in an effort to make it longer so that’s cool I suppose.

Bleach ep. 162

[ BLEACH #162]

I think it goes without saying that this episode was awesome. These are the chapters that I really loved from way back. This episode reminded me of just how shocked I was when Ulquiorra revealed himself to be the Number Four Espada. Sure, there was a chance of him not being the top but I wasn’t expecting him to be in that position. The other shock came from the difference in power between him and Ichigo. If Ichigo can’t even beat him then he doesn’t have a chance against Stark, Halibel, and the old guy who are obviously the top three. As far as the manga goes their numbers still haven’t been revealed yet but my guess is that Stark is the top Espada. My reasons for saying that are just because of the way he behaved in the short times we’ve seen him. I’d like it if Halibel was Number Two especially since Bleach lacks any strong female antagonists.

Gundam 00 ep. 19

[ Episode 19: Bonds ]

The whole issue between Setsuna and Lockon had me worried for a while. There was no telling what Lockon was going to do but I’m glad that Setsuna said what he had and got his message across. I’m guessing now that Lockon knows who Ali is he too will probably be on the lookout for him since he was the leader of the organization that killed his parents and sister. Still though, that has to be the first time I’ve seen Setsuna smile in this entire series. I was pretty damn shocked to see him like that. Though I’m glad to see that he and Lockon are buddies (or something like that). :D

Spice and Wolf ep. 8

[ Episode 8: Wolf and Adjusted Scales ]

I find it a bit odd to make an episode that’s practically in the middle of the series DVD-only. Though I’m guessing since they did that then that means the episode itself probably wasn’t important to the plot at all. As for this episode I really enjoyed it. Though I’m starting to wonder if I’m in the minority when it comes to liking the trading and currency content. I don’t expect most to like it but I’m not sure if I’ve come across another blogger or viewer that appreciates the stuff. Anyway I have a lot of interest in the new character, Nora. She’s already foreshadowed to be a mysterious person at the start of the episode and I’d like to see where that goes. She appears to be a shepherd but there are also rumors of a magician about so it’s possible that she could be the person in the rumors as well. Horo already doesn’t like her but I’m wondering if that isn’t mainly because she’s jealous. :P

H2O ~FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND~ ep. 8

[ Episode 8: Otoha ]

What the hell did I just watch? LOL. Seriously, what the hell was that? It was a chaotic mess, though an hilarious one at that. I think it’s obvious that this is filler (unless something like this really happens in the game…which would shock me even more) though it’s one that doesn’t piss you off (at least it didn’t do that to me). Well, even if it was mostly random and extremely weird I still got a lot of laughs from it, especially those parts involving Hajami and Takuma’s uncle. Don’t get me started on the whole Magical Girl Otoha vs. Yui thing. That had me rolling throughout the entire 20+ minutes. The important point of this episode though was that Otoha/Hinata has finally passed on…which I find kind of odd. Is she really gone for good? I mean, what about Takuma’s sight? Is he going to lose it or is it there to stay permanently now that she’s gone? I really don’t know what to expect anymore especially since the previews doesn’t give clues.

Shakugan no Shana Second ep. 19

[ Episode 19: Something Left Unspoken ]

You just gotta love awesome episodes like this. Granted the Tomogara in it weren’t that strong but they served as fodder perfectly. As such Yuji got to show his new abilities and analytical skills in a real battle. I was really surprised to see just how huge his Fuzetsu was though. I think he covered the entire city with it. Back to Yuji fighting, I liked how he dealt with Zarovee’s multiple forms. There’s just no discrediting blowing away a few of his bodies with flames, choking one to death, and then stabbing one with the Blutsauger. That was a great bout of ass kicking if you ask me. That last Tomogara that Shana destroyed was pretty useless but it had a pretty damn strong cannon that I’m sure would have been dangerous had it had gotten off that shot without interruption.

Dragonaut ep. 20

[ Episode 20: Rescue -Severing Bonds- ]

I find it sort of funny how those watches that the Professor made didn’t get used. Perhaps they’ll serve some purpose in a future episode or be totally forgotten about. I’d say it’s about 50-50. Also, when did Laura (or should I call her Raum?) get to be so strong? Or is it just the suit that gives her an advantage? Though I guess it doesn’t matter at this point since her time seems to be almost up. I hope to find out more about her in the next episode since she’s been sort of a mystery for most of the series given that the only known thing about her is that she looks exactly like Sakaki’s daughter, Laura.

Dragonaut ep. 19

[ Episode 19: Family -A Fragment of Warmth- ]

This is pretty much just a build-up episode. Jin, Toa, and the others get to rest in a big mansion while Itsuki and Otohime get captured and sent to Tartarus. We see more signs of Toa approaching the end of her lifespan and apparently Laura is also feeling the same thing now. Of course Sakaki, being the bastard that he is, doesn’t seem to care and continues to refer to her as a “convenient tool” and the like. I swear his mind must be a puddle of messed up thoughts and feelings. Anyway, Gio is now acting all weird and seems to be in some sort of communication with Thanatos. I’m guessing that’ll be further expanded upon in the next episode.
