Bleach ep. 156

[ BLEACH #156]
![]()
This was a really funny episode all thanks to Pesche, Uyruu, and Cirucci. Most of the comedy came from the former two though. I especially loved how Pesche thought Uyruu loved him because he smiled in his direction.
That said, the majority of the episode involved Uyruu and Pesche trying to attack Cirucci, running from her and repeating the cycle when needed. Speaking of attacks, Pesches’ “Infinite Slick” is so stupid that I was laughing hard inside. It’s pretty sad though that it has a cool name but basically is a bit spit attack. Additionally I think Pesche was a smart guy for trying to peek at cirucchi’s panties. A person needs a break when working hard in a fight like that and such a sight would probably do wonders for relaxing.
Anyway, I found Cirucci’s release to be well animated even if the animation quality was a bit jumpy for the episode. I really liked how they ended the episode with Uyruu unleashing his new attack though. Ah, I remember when it was first revealed in the manga and most were going “OMG Uryuu’s using a sword! He’s using a lightsaber!”. Is he really?

[ Episode 2: I... What do I want to do? ]

This episode really reinforces my liking for this show. It’s hard to describe everything that I like about it but the characters are a large part of the reason why. Then there’s also the animation that was still in tip-top shape this week. One interesting tidbit about the animation team is that most of them (if not all) are Chinese. The company is P. A. Works by the way. That’s just something I wanted to point out there.
This time around things are a bit more lively and I loved the scenes where Noe was greeting Shinichiro in public. It just goes to show you that she is a girl that isn’t easily embarrassed.
Appleseed Ex Machina Trailer Remix Contest

![]()
I was pretty surprised to have been contacted about the new Appleseed movie: Appleseed Ex Machina. Needless to say that I was flattered to be asked to spread the word about the movie and the unique contesting that’s ongoing.
Well, besides your great review, I was also wondering if you would be interested in covering the new Appleseed movie? (http://www.warnervideo.com/appleseed/) There is a trailer remix contest where you can cut scenes from Appleseed: Ex Machina into clips and apply different songs from the soundtrack to create a trailer. Visitors to the site vote on the best trailer, and the winner of the contest will get flown to San Francisco for WonderCon in February. It’s a neat little contest, and I thought you might want to share it with your readers.
I’ve been familiar with the series for quite some time and in the past, when I was a kid, I remember the first OVA that was released. All these years later and after Appleseed 2004, following it’s premiere in Japan last October, Appleseed Ex Machina is now coming to the West. When I headed over to the trailer page I was quite impressed with what I saw there already. The animation looked marvelous and the voice acting was pleasant to my ears, especially the voice of Deunan. The trailer creation is quite intriguing and isn’t a hassle at all. It’s a simple task to select the scene you want and place it where ever you see fit and the same applies to the music. The only thing that’s really missing is an option to add your own voice as the announcer. That would have been awesome but that doesn’t take away from anything.
There were quite a few fan-created trailers there. One in particular, “Appleseed ExMachina: Hero”, is very good (and is currently leading in the votes) and shows how creative you can get with your trailer. So, if you’re a US citizen (living in the USA of course) and don’t mind giving up some information about yourself (it is a contest after all :P) then you should head on over to the official website and try your hand at making a trailer. Who knows, you just might end up the winner. Though you should hurry as it ends on the 7th of next month.
I personally can’t wait until March for the DVD to be released.
H2O ~FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND~ ep. 2

[ Episode 2: Hayami ]

Hmm. So it seems like there was a noticeable drop in animation quality in this episode. I wasn’t really expecting that to happen but I guess it can’t be helped anyways so no use in me complaining about it. Though, there is one thing that bothered me during this episode: Why is it that no one reacted to Takuma being able to see?
Or is it that they already did and we just weren’t shown or something?

Blade joins the Conspiracy!

Hello everyone, name’s Blade and I’ll be joining Kita ze inbou from this day and on to make sure 2008 is going to be a great year for all of us!I am just your ordinary 21-year-old dork, you can find more of my kind around your local book store in the manga section looking for some harem… I have been watching anime since the early days of Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z (which was around the year 2000) and it went on as I started to watch more stuff like Sonic X and Yu-Gi-Oh!. It was around 2004 when I finally started to become a serious anime watcher when I discovered Naruto. The show was around episode 68 at the time so I had some catching up to do, but I found myself glued to the screen from beginning to end. The experience was so fun, it’s as disappointing as Naruto Shippuuden has been to me up until now.

[ Episode 2: Succubus and Vampire ]

This entry got out later than I expected. Though really I blame it on receiving Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of Lions yesterday. Needless to say that docked a lot of my time to do other things. Also, yeah, the fanservice is still here but not as much as last week. Though I don’t think it really matters anyway as I wasn’t complaining about it to begin with (otherwise I wouldn’t be blogging it :P). Anyways, this episode introduces Kurumu! She’s a sexy, blue-haired succubus with massive melons that can suffocate you to the point of death. And then there are her fingers…

Ever since I heard the announcement of this show some months back and also hearing that it took place ten years after the events of Persona 3, I was looking forward to its premiere. I have to say that it was a decent start even if it wasn’t the best of the season. One thing that I’m loving is that it seems that PERSONA ~trinity soul~ is looking to be a unique supernatural show on its own without relying on the game. Needless to say that there are a lot of questions in my head already regarding this episode and that is a good sign.

When I saw the trailer for this some time ago I instantly thought that this was going to be the winter show with the most potential to become something great. I still feel that way after seeing such a wonderful first episode. It goes without saying that the production-values are very high. Just watching the episode treats your eyes to pure eyecandy (the healthy kind) and the accompanying soundtrack was heaven to my ears. There is something about the tracks that I found quite comforting which doesn’t happen very often. I think that True Tears is that something I’ve been looking forward to ever since ef - a tale of memories ended and so I’ll definitely be blogging this (and hopefully on time as well).

[ Episode 42: Orochimaru vs. Jinchuuriki ]
![]()
This was yet another low-dialogue episode with more focus on action. These scenes were among those that I’ve been waiting to see animated and I wasn’t disappointed. I especially loved how the chase scene was done with Kyuubi Naruto’s arms sprouting another arm, him shooting off another upper-body to slash Orochimaru in half, and when he used hyper beam…er…I mean when he shot that huge mass of chakra at Orochimaru. Orochimaru pulled out his own moves as well with the particularly great ones being the summoning of the triple Rashoumon and tackling/skewering Kyuubi Naruto from their battle site all the way back to the bridge (using a kusanagi of course). At the very end of the episode Sakura finally gets to see what Naruto looks like in his four-tail form and I don’t blame her for being shocked. After all, he’s lost his most of his human form and his completely covered in blood and evil chakra.

I find it hard not to laugh at two talking heads in a fishbowl.
Then again, not just any two talking heads in a fishbowl have a zanpaktou and serious sonido skills.
