H2O ~FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND~ ep. 2

[ Episode 2: Hayami ]

Hmm. So it seems like there was a noticeable drop in animation quality in this episode. I wasn’t really expecting that to happen but I guess it can’t be helped anyways so no use in me complaining about it. Though, there is one thing that bothered me during this episode: Why is it that no one reacted to Takuma being able to see?
Or is it that they already did and we just weren’t shown or something?

Granted I knew he was going to regain his sight but I didn’t expect it to happen in the first episode. Though I guess this means that he’ll lose it again near the end and perhaps maybe regain it for good. Anyway, I still find it awkward that no one said anything like “I’m surprised you can see now! What happened?” or something similar. It didn’t even have to be everyone who pointed it out but at least Hayami or Hinata.

This hatred towards Hayami is really grating on my nerves. She’s really the only character in this show that interests me along with Takuma (and Hinata to an extent to see what happened in her and Hayami’s pasts). That said, Takuma needs to go the extra mile to stand up for her. Such as kicking some ass. Particularly the asses of those two nameless jackasses. Seriously, the attitude that Yui, their teacher, apparently the entire student body, and even Hinata already disgusts me beyond reasonable bounds. Seriously, I don’t know what happened in the past but whatever Hayami is accused of doing can’t be so bad as to treat her as if she isn’t a human.

I agree, it did seem strange that no one said anything about Takuma suddenly being able to see. But I think it’s like you mentioned, some time has probably passed since he was able to see and since the start of this episode.
I’m also curious as to what happened with Hayami in the past to make everyone hate her. LOL, I can’t believe how their teacher just lets the students walk out in the middle of class and beat up other students. I know it’s kind of a small, dinky school out in the middle of nowhere but still ~_^
I guess even the teacher is like the students, especially since she was on Hayami’s case both in the first and second episodes.
