NARUTO: Shippuuden ep. 42
[ Episode 42: Orochimaru vs. Jinchuuriki ]

This was yet another low-dialogue episode with more focus on action. These scenes were among those that I’ve been waiting to see animated and I wasn’t disappointed. I especially loved how the chase scene was done with Kyuubi Naruto’s arms sprouting another arm, him shooting off another upper-body to slash Orochimaru in half, and when he used hyper beam…er…I mean when he shot that huge mass of chakra at Orochimaru. Orochimaru pulled out his own moves as well with the particularly great ones being the summoning of the triple Rashoumon and tackling/skewering Kyuubi Naruto from their battle site all the way back to the bridge (using a kusanagi of course). At the very end of the episode Sakura finally gets to see what Naruto looks like in his four-tail form and I don’t blame her for being shocked. After all, he’s lost his most of his human form and his completely covered in blood and evil chakra.

yeah great episode with great animation
but a little slow
Yup. The animation was pretty good (though those snakes close-up looked kinda odd).
As for the slowness, at this point I think that is the regular pace for Shippuuden lol.
dude what about Hunter x Hunter ova?
This is the first time an episode had nice animation, but I didn’t find a reason to like it.
