I really meant “out of nowhere” as I didn’t expect him to say that right after getting rid of Ladd and Lua.

I recall that scene as well (clean of all blood lol) but the thought that it was Chane didn’t really cross my mind at the time.

Quick note about Rail Tracer and Chane that you may have forgotten about.

In one of the earlier episodes, there’s a section set after the whole Pussyfoot affair. ‘Rail Tracer’ introduces himself as Vino. I think he’s with the Gandor brothers when he says it, but I’m not 100% sure. Anyway, in that scene, he does mention that he’s looking for a girl.

Check it out! Then his proposal to Chane won’t be so ‘out of nowhere’. The Proposal itself was still kind of random, but it was foreshadowed beforehand–in a previous episode that took place in the future.

Basically…thats the case. The setting is strong enough on its own. It would be much better without all that mumbo-jumbo, thats for sure, but oh, well.
