NARUTO: Shippuuden ep. 40-41 ~ 1 Hour Special
[ Episode 40-41: Kyuubi Unleashed ]
HOLY SHIT! This hour special has to be the best one yet and the best pair of episodes since the start of Shippuuden. These chapters were awesome in the manga and damn did the animation team do an awesome job with bringing them to life. Everything was wonderfully done. The animation was sweet in the spots that were most important and the music choice was just marvelous. Naruto’s tail releasing is easily some of the best stuff we’ve seen up till now. Not to mention there is the destruction he caused, bitch-slapping/blasting Kabuto to kingdom come, knocking Orochimaru who knows how far and practically ripping a forest to shreds.

[ Episode 6: rain ]
Well now, the very start of the episode was very interesting and really made me raise my eyebrows. “I will wipe you out” is a serious thing to say to another, especially when you’re near a train crossing.
Either way, the battle has officially begun between the two girls and by the end of the episode Kei ends up with the first victory as she injured herself causing Hiro to come to her aid which resulted in him standing up Miyako. Do I sense some emo moments with a dash of psycho coming in the future? Seriously, 99 missed messages?! Good lord! @_@

[ Episode 5: outline ]
Who would have thought that Kei was responsible for Chihiro’s accident and current condition? Sure, she didn’t mean for it to happen but the fact remains that what she did still contributed to the accident happening. I have to wonder if that’ll be brought up later on. I was a bit on edge when Kei confronted Miyako in the episode but it didn’t turn out to be as explosive as I thought. I’m guessing that confrontation that was shown in the prologue will show up soon enough. As for Chihiro and Renji, things are getting deeper with the two of them. Personally, their emotions are pouring into me much easier than any of the other character’s at the moment not to mention they’re among my favorites. I’m looking forward to more interaction with them as well as more on the Kei, Hiro, and Miyako triangle.

[ Episode 4: honesty ]
Renji and Chihiro’s relationship continues to intrigue me. They’re much further along than any of the other characters/couples at the moment and one of the most interesting. I really want to see how their relationship progresses especially with Chihiro’s condition and such. Kei finding Hiro and Miyako eating together was a pretty good “Oh SHI-” moment if you ask me. She took it really hard at the end of the episode so I can’t help but wonder what’s next for that triangle.

[ BLEACH #153]
I really enjoyed this episode much more than the previous two for various reasons. The main one being that Cirucci finally makes her debut fighting against Ishida. I felt butterflies for one reason or another when I heard her voice and knew that it was Kuwashima Houko who is also current voicing Miya Miya in Bamboo Blade and Tomoyo in CLANNAD. She fits the role perfectly if you ask me. ^__^ Their battle is more exciting animated than it was in manga form from what I can recall. I do remember that I was cheering for Cirucci though because she’s just that awesome and, well, Ishida isn’t exactly a favorite of mine.
Also, I could not help but laugh at the very end of the episode when Rukia was faced with Kaien being an Espada. Ah yes, I can remember that moment in the manga so clearly. Everyone was up in arms at him being an Espada and were desperate for explanations. The next few episodes are going to be really fun.

Shakugan no Shana Second ep. 11

[ Episode 11: Engage Link ]
Much of this episode, roughly over a half, was focused on everyone preparing for the Seishuu Festival. Mixed in there of course was some breast-grabbing involving Nakamura, Yoshida, and Shana. Good times, yeah?
Also, I didn’t mention this in the episode 10 entry but I have to wonder what’s up with Konoe lately. She doesn’t seem to be ill at all and there was focus on the bracelets that both her and her butler wear. Perhaps it is related to the previous suspicions of her being Hecate or a clone of Hecate? Hopefully that’ll be addressed soon. Wihelmina basically confirmed that she was a friend of Pheles in the past through her facial expressions and her plea that she doesn’t want to fight Pheles. Pheles must be really powerful though if she can make something like the Reiji Maigo and also have Wilhelmina so worried. The very end of the episode had me really excited as well as it shows that Pheles is closer than we thought! Oh man I can hardly wait until she appears!

Shakugan no Shana Second ep. 10

[ Episode 10: The Man Who Returned Home ]
At first I thought that this episode wasn’t going to cover much plot but it got a good amount in. Aside from the return of Yuji’s dad, who I must say is really cool, there was a bit with Wilhelmina meeting up with Khamsin in France. Much to Wilhelmina’s fear, which is something rarely ever seen, she finds out from him that Pheles is alive and well. What worries her the most is that she is looking for the Reiji Maigo and will eventually find it as it is a memento of her deceased lover. Something tells me Yuji is going to be enjoying being tracked/chased down by Pheles. Another thing though that amazed me was that Wilhelmina seemed so concerned. I think that she and Pheles used to be friends or at the very least were acquaintances. Hopefully, as the preview suggests, she’ll reveal their connection in the story she’s going to tell Yuji.

Whoa. Lots of stuff happened in here. The Yamainu are pretty much owned by Keiichi, Mion, and the others on the mountain while Shion, Kasai, Akasaka, and Irie infiltrate the underground floor of the clinic. We get to see the badass inside Kasai and finally get to see Satoshi again. He’s been in that part of the clinic ever since his symptoms became so bad on that day of Satoko’s birthday. Shion, of course, was torn to seem in such a state and to find out that she can’t do anything but wait on Irie to find a cure. I hope that he does some day after all of this is done. I’ve been wondering about that phone call Nomura made to the head guy of the Yamainu…and I just have a feeling that he might do something to Miyo such as abandon her. All I can think of now is how everything is going to end in the next episode. I’m so excited to see the conclusion of such an awesome series! ^__^

Oh my God. This episode was AWESOME. Everything goes to hell for the majority of the episode. Tomitake is caught and Irie is chased down and nearly caught but is saved by Shion and Kasai. The entire crew is also almost caught but then Rika sacrifices herself with the belief that she’ll be saved by them before Miyo can attempt to kill her. And then, the badass, the hero of the entire episode, Akasaka arrives and kicks all sort of MiG ass and their leader as well! We also find out from Irie while he spoke to Shion that Satoshi is still alive somewhere. Things just keep getting more awesome with the finale approaching!

Oh shit! Things are getting super intense! With the announcement of Rika being dead for 48 hours Miyo and her troops are thrown into complete confusion and disarray. Miyo is slowly losing it as she just can’t accept that such a thing is possible as she knows within herself that if Rika was dead then the villagers would have started to freak out. Thankfully, she hasn’t completely broken down yet and figures that she can fix things by looking for Tomitake and keeping an eye on Irie. Tomitake seems to have been captured at the very end of the episode so it looks like things will go downhill starting next episode.
