Whoa. So, if Irie’s assumptions are correct, Satoko is the one responsible for her parents deaths because of the Hinamizawa Disease? That’s quite a surprise. I don’t recall ever thinking about that as a possibility since I don’t think that, prior to this episode, there was sufficient evidence to even consider Satoko being responsible for their deaths as a result of her already being in critical condition.

I found myself celebrating and feeling down with Miyo during this episode. I can’t help but want to see her succeed in her plans regardless of what their end result is. It’s probably because she’s easily the most impressive and well-written character Higurashi has to offer (Keiichi being the other, though in second) and the best antagonist I’ve seen in years.

Also, I wonder who that lady is at the very end that offered help to Miyo? Aside from being beautiful she seems to have quite a bit of power though for now her affiliation is unknown and probably will be revealed in the next episode or two.

This episode proved one thing: every one of the gang’s mother seems to be a very pretty lady. All jokes aside, the cold, harsh truth comes out. So Satoko seems to be badly infected (thankfully not at the highest level) and was responsible for killing her own parents. Talk about bad feng shui. It must be difficult living as a Houjou. I think I can see why Satoshi acted the way he did. More information on Miyo was also present, another plus. Thinks seemed bleak but a certain someone randomly passes by and aids her. What considerable timing. Can’t really say anything else but at least the plot thickens.
