They put alot of emphasise on Michael being a genius and how he thinks he's so incredibly smart that he has to micromanage everything Elena does in order to protect her. Then when an actual fight occurs she's one step ahead of him. :lol I think it'd be deliciously ironic for the one that was actually being taken care of was Michael all along. Well, it’s not so much what she did.
