Ulquiorra and Nnoitora had quite the long discussion in this episode. I honestly didn’t remember it being so long but then again it’s been a long time since I saw that scene in the manga. The whole explanation was quite interesting though and shows that psychological “traps” can be just as, if not more, persuasive as physical ones. Anyway, this episode roughly covered chapters 248 and 249 with some added in original stuff with Nel and the others falling down into that basement. Smart way to stretch the manga material if you ask me. Additionally, I must say that though some may find the whole idea of splitting up silly or stupid because of their current level of strength, it really is a great way to induce struggle into the upcoming fights. Not to mention it is a waste of time for all of them to go down one path to check it out.

Next week will introduce Dordonii, the Privaron Espada. Hearing his voice should be interesting…
