Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai: Matsuribayashi-hen 2

[ Episode 15: Writhing ]

It looks like Miyo’s past is now done. After seeing all of that, I have to say that I personally sympathize with all of the shit she went through in the orphanage (more like a child concentration camp). I can’t help but think that she was probably already too damaged from all the deaths of her parents and then being abused and frightened for who knows how long in that hell. All of that stuff, I think, contributed to the God complex she possesses and Takano’s research only furthered her towards the goal of being a God.

Oh, and I must say that the last minutes of the episode were simply awesome. The showdown between Miyo and Hanyuu was off the charts, especially with both girls not backing down and using their best game face to stare at the other! Oh man, I can’t wait for more. :P

Wow, 100 yen for a phone call? People really had it easy back in the day. Well, anyways, cheap or not, that 100 yen definitely saved Miyo’s ass from brutality. Her “grandfather” seemed like a real great person and I’m sure Miyo felt the same.

Not much else I have to say other than it’s amazing Miyo still stands now, still beautiful, but just a little… messed up in the head for lack of better term. Or maybe she’s just too obsessed with her ideals now. Oh, and of course the confrontation at the end was sweet. Hanyuu finally got the balls(?) to speak. I can say I never heard Horie Yui’s voice like that ever so this was a godly treat for me. It must be me or the defining image of Rika and Hanyuu are always when they are casted into their dark side moment. Scratch that, it’s the latter.
