Myself; Yourself ep. 5

[ Episode 5: Unblooming Cherry Blossoms ]
Yet another lovely episode of Myself; Yourself. This episode further solidifies what we see in the OP sequence involving Nanaka’s past. It’s certain that it involves fire and possibly her parents. I’m guessing that past event also had something to do with why she refuses to play the violin. I can’t imagine what it could be at this point but I’m being attentive at any and all clues. I’m guessing that by the end of the series Nanaka will have recovered from this trauma she’s suffering from (the bath scene anyone? seems like she could have feel the flames from her memory or something) and complete that song she never completed as a child.
I’m curious as to where this episode was going with the old lady, Kajii. If the ending is any indication it seems like she’s the one responsible for the missing bird in the home and the cat is about to go missing as well, as in buried along with the bird. What purpose is that going to serve, if any? There’s also the fact that she thought Nanaka looked like her dead granddaughter as well…one can only wonder what importance any of this stuff involving her has at the moment.
Anyways, next episode seems to be about Hinako again. I can’t wait!
