Dragonaut ep. 5

[ Episode 5: Complication -Falling Rain- ]

All hail the Goddess Garnet for she has an overabundance of milk and mana that runneth over.

I’m loving Dragonaut more and more every week. I may have said this before but this episode is the best yet. It had it all. Great amounts of both story and action. Of course, I’m particularly referring to the Garnet vs. Gio fight. Even if Gio was at a disadvantage, Garnet was very impressive at holding her own against him. Her sword skills are topnotch and are elite enough to take on a Dragon. And let’s just say that I was on happy boy at all of breast shots and exaggerations in this episode. :P

On the story-side of things, we find out that Garnet and her organization are trying to perform Resonance as well but has yet to successfully do it. Of course the easiest way to find out is to capture a Dragon alive, which is what she tried to do by fighting Gio, but that’s not as easy as it sounds. We also learn of the Commanders’ daughter who died in the shuttle incident as well. It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out later. Anyway, the rest of the Dragons will be going to the Moon next week to capture Toa and most likely Jin and Gio but that doesn’t seem to work out quite well from the brief preview. One thing we can probably be sure of is that Toa and Jin will be reunited. Yay! :P

    Yuuri what?

I think they should start every episode off with a chick exploding.

How would you align Garnet, Leon? She doesn’t overdo it when she’s abusing people, while she kept a straight face even while speaking to the ISDA leader. She seems more like a good soldier rather than a villian to me.

She’s wanted to know how to perform Resonance for a long time now, but to what end? Do you think she wants to use Dragonauts against humans since they’d be a huge advantage?

I mean, ISDA is only interested in Thantaos. What are they going to do with the Dragonauts once it’s over?

I haven’t counted Garnet as a villain yet though she is an antagonist of course. I just find her to be a strong woman in a position of power that from the looks of things she earned rather than was given. So yeah, she’s good at what she does and that’s leading (as well as having an awesome poker face) and from the fight with Gio, her fighting skills are quite exceptional especially since managed to dodge all of his hits.

As for the reason she wants to know about Resonance…I’d like to know why as well. I can’t think of why else she’d need them aside from fighting on par with the ISDA but there must be something else behind it as well.

She wouldn’t have hit Jin if he had just kept his mouth shut. She wouldn’t have stepped on Amagi if he hadn’t grabbed on to her and acted so pathetic (seriously, what was up with that guy?), and well, if Gio hadn’t put up such a big fight she wouldn’t pummeled him senseless like that.
