Shana is back with more MELON-PAN!
It’s so great to have Shana back and in full force! I loved how they used scenes from the first season in the dream sequence that Yuji was having for about half of the episode. It was sort of a refresher course. I also noticed that they re-dubbed a lot of the lines from those scenes as well. I particularly noticed that when Shana was speaking English in class. I think Kugimiya Rie has been slacking on her English a bit but hey, everyone has their off-times. It was great to see all of my favorite characters again, Margery, Carmel, Hecate, and of course, Shana. I particularly want to see more from Margery and Carmel this season. I’m also intrigued with the new characters appearing and one in particular who appears in the OP sequence. Her name is Pheles and I have a feeling I’m going to like her character a lot, especially after wondering about her for at least a year.
JOINT is a pretty awesome song by Kawada Mami. It really had me moving and excited to see the new season. triangle, by Mami again, was also a great effort and blended well with the sliding ED images. The new eyecatches are neat as well. Though, are they completely new or are they remixes of the old ones? I think I need to listen to them again. I believe it goes without saying that the animation improves upon the first season quite a bit. It’s especially visible in the HD versions. Battles are probably going to be very pretty and intense this season.
Next episode seems to have Yoshida being captured with Shana and Yuji in the same dream sequence all over again. That Tomogara is far from beaten it seems as she went down a little too easily. I’m wondering if Hecate has anything to do with what’s going on though.

No, it means that YUUJI has been slacking in his English, because everying in the world is as he remembered it =D.
I also hope they get into Marjorie’s story and her quest for revenge against that groping silver hand.
LOL. Good point there about the English. I didn’t have a problem with it though as it was still as cute as before. :p
Agreed about Margery, I’ve always been wondering when they’ll explore her past.
Rie sounded more horrible the first time but I can’t recall. I’ve always loved Rie’s Engrish though, it’s great at the right moments.
And uh…what’s with the same tag line before the Read More part?
Let’s just call that a “writing glitch”.
