[ Episode 1: A Nostalgic Place ]

When a girl slaps the hell out of you it very likely means that she loves you more than the world itself.

This show is already presenting itself as something I’d like to watch each week. Sure, the storyline might not sound original but I really couldn’t care less. The characters so far have been enjoyable and even though she hasn’t had a lot of screen time yet I especially have an interest in Nanaka. I think she was right with giving Sana that NICE SLAP at the end of the episode. Seriously, how do you forget what your childhood friend and love looks like only after five years? You have much to learn Sana. Unless there’s some memory damage or something, which I doubt.

The character designs are nicely done and the girls are especially cute. My favorite designs so far are Nanaka and Yuzuki-sensei. The music blends in well with the backgrounds and the voices are wel nicely done. Yes, even Aoi’s despite her being slightly high-pitched, lol. Also, addictive OP is addictive. The song is pretty catchy and I like the animation, especially the ending with everyone playing in a band on stage. I love to see those kinds of things. The ED is nice but I like the OP more. I do like the still scenes though.

I haven’t decided if I’ll be continuing blogging this since Tuesdays will be for BLUE DROP and Genshiken 2 [it starts next week] and possibly Night Wizard. As usual, let me know if you think I should continue blogging Myself; Yourself.

I think it’s worth blogging, it won’t get as many people blogging it as the others since I think a lot of people have written it off as just another bishoujo series. I missed a lot of the dialogue, but watching it raw it’s interesting enough to have me hooked. Aoi’s voice will take a little getting used to (I can’t picture her as anything but Chiyo-chan in Azumanga) but the character designs are really good, the animation quality’s decent, and I’m curious to see where they’re going with it. Nanaka clearly still likes Sana to be wearing the gift he gave her five years ago, but yeah, she really didn’t hold anything back with the slap, that’s going to leave a mark for a while…

I think this show may turn out to be wonderful. There’s Aoi and her being together with Sana a lot, the twins’ closeness, and Nanaka’s mysterious aura. It’s also 13 episodes long, so they probably won’t bore us with fillers.

I saw the first episode and i think the show definitely has potential and i am looking forth to the second episode. It is definitely not a romantic comedy, which is a change that i welcome, since most of the shows i watched last season were comedies
