A loli that kidnaps you to do her bidding? I AM SO THERE!

I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a RPG nut. This show is pretty much what I’d call a “Anime-RPG”. Seriously, the characters all fill their roles perfectly. Also, where else do you see the main character getting kidnapped by a loli, thrown into a limo and then seeing the limo fly away? Who then gets kidnapped AGAIN from the same loli (her name is Anzelotte by the way) but this time by a helicopter with a big hook. Renji is a great character as so far he doesn’t have the usual ‘whoa I have powers, how did I get these, why do I have these?’ syndrome some other characters have. Also, this guy wants to go to school! He’s a great contrast to other characters who don’t seem to mind missing a few weeks or even a month or so of school (I’m looking at you Bleach ). The girls are all nice as well especially Anzelotte and Kureha. Kureha’s attitude combined with her crossbow are automatic win for me. I’m now waiting for the girl who uses the huge ass gun. She’ll probably end up being my favorite girl, either her or Kureha anyways. ^__^

The animation isn’t perfect or the best of the season but it isn’t bad at all. It was pretty hard to not laugh or shake my head at the generic monsters though. The OP song, KURENAI, is okay for now and the sequence isn’t anything special either. The ED is rather well done; a lovely song accompanied by scenes that I think fit it just right.

Overall, this is a pretty good effort from J.C. Staff and XEBEC. I’m going to follow this as a anime fan and as a RPG fan which is something that doesn’t happen a lot. I’m undecided on whether I’ll continue blogging it though. Let me know what you think.
