I’m glad to see that Keiichi, Shion, Mion, Satoko, and Rena finally know about what’s going on. The only thing Rika has left to tell them about is the whole multiple universes thing. Sitting down and listening to the explanations now makes everything that has happened up to know make sense. The Hinamizawa Syndrome is what drove Keiichi, Shion, and Rena mad in the other realities because they either left the town and later came back or because Rika died. Rika being the “Infection Queen” really hit me as well. Why? Well, because it all makes sense! If she dies then the entire village would go mad and start to either kill each other or claw out their throats.
The gang also now strongly suspects Takano as the culprit behind everything. This means that there is a possibility that everyone will carry at least some of this information into the next Hinamizawa. It’s still said to know that we have to see them all get killed yet again but this time will be the last in my opinion. I was surprised that Ooishi got killed at the very end of the episode. I didn’t see that coming at all.

To put it simply, this episode explained just about everything we needed to know about the mystery behind the village disease. After watching this I just thought to myself “IT ALL MAKES SENSE!” like a damn idiot. In all seriousness though, it really did find my missing puzzle pieces. I for one didn’t even know the Hinamizawa Syndrome was to be operated into a biological weapon. Now I dunno about the rest of you but that sounds as utterly brutal as napalm or hydrogen bombs. The other explanation about the symptoms had some real importance as well. I won’t delve too much into it because Rika explains it all thoroughly.
Well now that that’s been settled, I suppose the other question is why Takano is doing this. What’s her motive? Judging by the next episode preview it will explain her reasons. I’m definitely looking forward to it.
