神霊狩/GHOST HOUND
[ Focus 01: Lucid Dream ]
Ghost Hound is quite the show. While not exactly “slow-paced” it is rather “quiet” and as such it reminds me of Lain from time to time. That said, Ghost Hound introduces quite a few themes structured around spirituality and psychology. The spiritual aspect for now are Tarou’s OBEs (Outer Body Experiences) which occurred twice in this episode alone (as a result of narcolepsy). The psychological aspect, aside from the title, so far focuses on Tarou and his past which involved him and his sister being kidnapped. It seems like he still suffers from the experience memory-wise and has nightmares about it as well. I noticed that his mother seems to be in almost the same shape as he is but that remains to be confirmed as yet.
Makoto and Masayuki are the two remaining male protagonists in the show. Not much is known about them as yet but so far it is shown that Makoto doesn’t like Tarou and Masayuki is quite “overly friendly”. The official site also says that these two, like Tarou, are able to have OBEs but have different ways of achieving them. The female protagonist, Miyako, can see into the spiritual world without the help of OBEs as we saw in this episode. As the show moves along I’m sure that all of the characters will come together in some way and it’ll be a treat to see how that happens.

The OP and ED are quite good though I have yet to choose which one I like more. The animation is absolutely wonderful and crisp in HD and the character designs are very well done by none other than Oka Mariko. The music and sounds are used wonderfully and appropriately in all the scenes and, almost without knowing it, pulls you into the world of Ghost Hound. I’m really looking forward to seeing Ghost Hound progress and I expect great things from it knowing the huge names of Shirow Masamune and Nakamura Ryutaro are behind it with Production I.G. supporting their efforts.
I have to say though, this is going to be one of the few shows where I have to sort through my thoughts properly before even attempting to publish them.

[Review: 92/100]
I kept on hearing things about Akagi. Most of those things were good things. Of course by “things” I mean praises. So I decided about a week ago to pick up the show, especially after starting Kaiji that just started this fall season. The only thing I knew about Akagi beforehand was that mahjong was central to the story and that the main character was absolutely badass. It has now been a little over a week and I must say that I enjoyed every single episode of Akagi. When I started watching I didn’t expect to get so hooked onto it, especially with very amateurish knowledge of mahjong.

[ Episode 3: Black and Blue ]
Miya Miya has to be easily one of the best characters this season. Seriously, this episode was hilarious but she pushed it even more with her yandere-mode. If she used that during matches I’m going to enjoy seeing her beat the living hell out of her opponents!
I gotta say that I loved how she talked during the next episode preview as well. She was constantly switching between lovely Miya Miya and yandere Miya Miya. She also said one of the best lines I’ve heard for the season thus far: “Viva Violence!”.
Also, in this episode we got to met Sayako. She’s quite funny girl who is described as “random” but we have yet to see exactly how that is so. Well, so far she did text message Kirino that she was going to die so I’m sure that counts as quite random. I almost felt dread at the end of the episode when she ran into Miya Miya by accident. She’s lucky all Miya Miya did was toss her bike in the water and knocked her in as well. There’s no telling what she would have done if she still had that sword in her hand, LOL.
Honestly, I’m loving all of the girls so far and the show is one of my favorites of the season. I love it when I’m able to laugh genuinely and Bamboo Blade always makes me do so. There’s still another girl left to be introduced properly even though we’ve seen her walk by a few times already in the first three episodes. I can’t wait to meet her.
Dragonaut ep. 4

[ Episode 4: Flight -To the Ends of the Blue Sky- ]
Interestingly enough, I get thirsty every time I see Garnet’s huge breasts.

[ Episode 32: The Return of the Kazekage ]
I felt that this was a pretty good episode. The beginning with everyone welcoming Gaara back was great and the music used was a perfect fit for the mood. I must say I laughed at finally seeing Tobi animated and he was given a voice I pretty much thought he would have. He sounds like someone who knows how to have fun even if he’s going to get his ass kicked for saying stupid things. For instance, like at the end of the episode when he dissed Deidara three times and got strangled, LOL. The other huge LOLs in this episode was the Kakashi and Gai piggyback ride and Lee trying to get Neji to do the same. That scene was funny in the manga but even more hilarious when animated. Sai also appears for the very first time in this episode. He looks as “metro” as ever. Well, on a good point he does have a good seiyuu behind him, Hino Satoshi who is currently voicing Yuuji in Shakugan no Shana Second as well (also Saito in ZnT).

[ Episode 4: I'm Not a Child ]
I’d like an order of Shuri/Shuusuke twincest please.
And a side of Hinako for myself.
Bleach ep. 145

[ BLEACH #145]
The high points of this episode pretty much involve the introductions of the Espada and Nell appearing at the very end. I particularly loved Halibel’s transition to the anime though I’m disappointed that her uniform was altered since only the top half her breasts are supposed to be covered instead of covering all of it. I shouldn’t have known they would have edited it but…yeah, what can you do (except read the manga). Her voice was quite sexy as well (voiced by Ogata Megumi). Stark was also quite cool. I’m guessing now that the anime original arc will be starting in the next episode once Ichigo and the others meet up with Nell. I suppose Rukia and Renji won’t be too far behind after that.

Gundam 00 ep. 3

[ Episode 3: The Changing World ]
Wang Liu Mei is officially delicious eye-candy. What will she wear next?
